  1. This is just for fun and YMMV: Print this out and post it on your mirror, your refrigerator, near your scale, on your dog, at your doctor's office! Just be inspired! Commandments courtesy of the hilarious Waffleking of OH VSG http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/VSG/4366095/10-Commandmenments-of-my-Sleeve And here are DIY Blank Slates to use and create your own! Print it out and hand write on them or photoshop to your liking!

  3. I didn't go for 5 days! I had to take dulcolax and then a few hours later I spent 45 minutes just going and going Now I add benefiber to my drinks and take a dulcolax if it goes for more than a day.
  4. I'm 10 days out and I'm barely getting in 400-600 calories.
  5. I have 5 more days until mushies and it is killing me! Husband had turkey jerky earlier and I wanted to jump him for them. Must have some substantial food, ugggggh.
  6. Yesssss! I had broccoli cheddar soup from Panera after shakes for a week and it was like an orgasm in my mouth. I can't even imagine how much better things will be when I get to soft foods.
  7. Also, try taking smaller sips. It is tedious but makes things go down so much easier. Same can be said when you progress to foods, if it hurts, take even smaller bites.
  8. I agree with the above poster. Put unflavored protein powder in everything!
  9. I was out walking for 40 minutes yesterday and when I sat down I experienced an extremely sharp pain. This pain was very different from my "normal" healing pains I've been feeling all week and located in a different place. The healing pains I've been feeling prior to this were cramp like and to the lower left of my belly button but now it is a constant, sharp pain in stomach area above the belly button. It's been present now for 12 hours consistently only to show some relief if I am leaned back in a recliner but gets sharp and stabby again as soon as I'm in an seated upright position. My surgeon and her assistant physician are both away at a conference until Monday and the bariatric center here doesn't open for another hour to call them. I'll probably go to the E.R. since constant, sharp pains probably aren't normal but beforehand I just wanted to seek out information on here in case this has happened to anyone else and offer it as a suggestion to the E.R. doctors.
