Hi there!
My name is Nicole and I was doing some searching for BCBS Fed in Texas and I saw a post that you had on VerticalSleeveTalk.com. At the time you were just going thru the process. I was wondering if you ended up getting the procedure done and if you had any problems with BCBS Fed. Thank you for any help you can offer.

Today, I have my ob gyn appt to get on bc which I find hilarious since I have not had a period in 6 months BUT I WILL jump through all the hoops Kaiser wants me to!!

I start my liquid diet Monday... I am glad it is almost here. I have been in this lets eat now bc I can't soon mentality far too long. I'm ready for this change to begin!!

Yes, probably temporary water gain for hormonal reasons (ovulation or pre-menstrual fluid retention), but if you don't think that's it and you are concerned, definitely go see your doctor, bc sometimes it can be something more serious. Make sure you are getting plenty of protein and limiting carbs plus drink extra water. Great "recipe" for diuresis. -
I am eight months post op and I've been at the same weight now for four weeks. I'm getting very frustrated. Please anybody give me some advice bc I'm very depressed about it

I swear ever since I had my surgery 6 weeks ago I her been so absent minded amongst other things! I accidentally took my BC twice this morning! I took next sundays BC! I bought a pill box so I can easily just take my pills without having to sort it all every morning and without thinking about it after I took my pills I looked at my BC package and saw it said Sunday and I was like oh I didn't take it and then after I took it realized omg yes I did! This is next Sundays! Anyone have any ideas what I should do???? I have been on the pill for a very long time and this is the first time doing this! Uuuuggg! Thanks in advance!!!

haha Im excited about this too. I keep a food/weight journal at fitday.com and it tells me my BMI, and slowly but surely it keeps going down! I love this site because my dr told me that he didnt recommend the band for me bc my BMI was over 50, but sure enough I got it down to 49 before my big day! -
Yes, I took the shots 2x a day for 14 days. My surgeon said that I was a risk for blood clots because of my excess weight, birth control pills, and having surgery. I stopped taking my BC pills one month prior to surgery and resumed them one month after surgery. I had no complications, but was glad for the preventative measures since I have lost two dear friends to a pulmonary embolisms. I did have bruising on my stomach for weeks from the shots and hard spots but I massaged these daily and now, 10 weeks later, everything is fine.

Back when my kids were growing up, I took in a lot of strays....stray kids, stray dogs, stray cats. A few lived with us (a few kids....LOTS of dogs and cats) but most of them I just fed when they were hungry, rescued them when they needed a ride or a loan. I spotted many a ten or twenty til payday. Sometimes I got it back, sometimes not. Yesterday one of my stray kids ran into my youngest son. I had not seen him for about 15 years. He got my address and showed up on my doorstep, with flowers! He's married, with kids, and owns his own business. He told me that he has thought of me often and would never forget what I had done for him when he was a teen. He did not have a mom in his life and I was there for him, like a mom, he said. It made me feel great! Anything I invested in this kid, and a dozen others, I got back today - with interest.

Dr just called back and said I can get in the pool! I didn't think I could bc im still a week from making 1 month! Dr knows best I guess! thank u!
