How was your fill last week? I got 2 cc put in mine so I'm up to 6 cc total right now! I definiately feel a big difference from the 4 cc I had before but I'm not in the green just yet.
-
Hi ErinMarie! No fill for me. Dr and nutritionist said I wad in starvation mode and that I needed to be eating more. I was pushed up to the final stage of eating.......yeah for raw veggies!!!! Some days I eat well and other days I am not too hungry so I guess for now 2cc' s it is.
How are you doing? How full was your band last time you were in the green zone? How long can you go without eating?

When I was at my sweet spot before my pregnancy I was at 8 cc. I had 4 taken out due to swelling and I just had 2 put back in, so I'm up to 6 cc now. I am hungry on 1 cup portions about every 2 hrs right now (which I expected). I really can't remember how far I went without eating when I was in the green zone, but I know it was pretty normal (3 meals a day, maybe one snack). I expect I will need that other 2 cc to get back into the green. I feel restriction, but I can tell it's no...

I was sleeved on October 31, 2013. The only complication was a hiatal hernia that had to be repaired. No big deal! I was up walking very shortly, no nausea or any discomfort. However, by day 3 I began to feel sick. I found I had been drinking too much of my shakes and they were too thick. This caused me to get really sick at my stomach and not able to tolerate even water. I began to go down hill from there forward. I wasn't getting enough fluids and/or protein. All the different prote...

So, my dr's office didn't submit one requirement to insurance which will delay my surgery by 10 weeks. I was given the pre-op diet to lose 5 lbs. Would you stay on the pre-op or wait 5 weeks to start it?
-
I would cut back on your calories prior to your pre-op diet. I cut back on my calories a month prior, it has helped my in tolerating my 2 week pre-op diet consisting of 2 protein shakes and 6 oz of lean protein and a cup of veggies. I am not hungry between my meals. I also added the protein shakes to my diet a month prior. On pre-op diet you will feel a little more fatigued than normal. Good luck and time will fly by.

Today I visited with my nutritionist and shared with her my frustration in not having a clear process to date. My insurance only required 3 visits with the nutritionist but here I was at the 4th and according to their records, one of the nutritionist had me down for two more which would have been 6 total!!! I asked why so many times and they didn't have a clear answer except, committment to the process... What!?! What's not to commit to, I have done everything that...

To those that are complaining about schools being closed, I just got back from getting a blood test, I was outside for about 3 minutes and I could feel my hands and feet freezing. Those that know me, knows I don't get cold. These kids are not acclimatised to cold weather like this. So think of your kids!

3 full days post-op.... a little cramping as things are going down. feels weird. Haven't really been hungry but I eat or drink rather to avoid dehydration. These 40 grams of protein seem impossible. Will try again tomorrow.

I really don't want to sound uneducated or whiny on here, but I have an issue I want to discuss. I had my surgery on Sept. 25. Doing really good, with a total of 54 pounds lost by Christmas. I follow my Dr.'s plan, although usually do miss the H2o goal daily, mostly due to work constraints. I have a scale that measures body fat, bone density, etc.I have had a fair amount of stalls here and there, but this week, I have actually gained 4 pounsa., 2 one day, and then 2 the next. It's...

to gain 1 pound, you have to eat 3500 calories.....so did you overeat by 12000+ calories? ......if not, then it could be sodium, TOM or you just need to go potty.....stay the course.....to lose weight, you must not eat more cals than you can burn off.....whatever WLS you have......hang in there and keep doing what your dr told you......DEF drink A LOT

Learning that if I follow the guidelines, the weight is going to come off. I'm down 3 pounds already for the week, 16.5 total in December. My official weekly weigh-in day is on the 25th. I don't really need to over-think things. I'm getting to the stage, though, where I really want some phase 2 foods (puree/soft food) - which I move on to on Christmas day (yay me)! I'm fantasizing about cottage cheese w/salsa, hummus, scrambled eggs, egg salad, tuna salad, blended soups, real smoothies instea...
