What type of chips are you eating? I really love to eat crunchy foods so I started eating soy chips. One thing about eating the soy chip, I start to get an unpleasant taste in my mouth. I appreciate the advice to turn up the protein shakes. I am really praying this first fill give me more restriction so I feel more satisfied throughout the day. How did you feel with your first fill? Did it give you the edge you needed to achieve more weight lost? I am praying it gives me that edge.

Hi Amanda! Things have been a roller coaster since surgery. I ended up having a hernia when they went in, so my recovery is taking longer than expected. I can not wait to start feeling better and getting ready to lose this weight.
Good luck with your surgery!

Hey girl,
I was reading one of your posts about losing motivation and I'm right there with you. I had surgery 7-20-09 and have completely stopped..I've all but kept myself from gaining. well..I gain a few, drop a few. it just bounces back and forth so I totally understand your frusteration. The thing is I put up with pbing and getting food stuck for so so so long it was such a releif when it was no longer happening, because they realized I was too tight. Now I'm not losing a damn thing!
I feel ur pain!

How's everything going with you. I pray things are going well. Just wanted to let you know I will be getting my first fill on 8-19-10, and I am praying to get a little more restriction. I really have a little more hunger than I would like to have. I know this weight lost is going to take time, but I really want to do everything in my power to ensure the band is working for me. I started doing some form of work out daily even if it's no more than 10 or 15 minutes top. I do realize anything is better than nothing at all. Be blessed.

Have you thought about drinking the protein drinks twice a day to prepare yourself for the band? My surgeon suggested I do that and you will lose weight doing it too.

Remember it's not about the weight loss it's about changes for a better healthier life. Focus on that and the rest will happen.
Good luck with your fill, let me know how much and how you are doing with it.

Update on my progress....I have been banded for a little over a year now. I am very pleased with my weight loss...still have a long way to go, but I'm getting there! When I began my journey I weighed 337 lbs. My current weight is 233 lbs. Unfortunately, 233 lbs. would still be considered a "BEFORE" weight! haha! So...I will continue my long journey. My oldest son got engaged this summer, and we will be having a wedding next summer! So, I have about 11 months to try to get some more weight off and try to look as good as possible before the wedding! Wish me luck!

I had mine April 29, 2010. You are doing very well. I have lost 30 since then. Iget super frustrated and am very hard on my self. I mean I can really tell in my clothes a lot. So I guess that counts also. But I would rally like to see the number and the scale change faster. i gues I should just be happy that if I keep up all my hard work the weight will for sure be off by next April.
