The Elusive Green Zone?
I have 5.6 cc in a 10 cc band. I was at 5.4 for more than a year but just had 0.2cc put in last week.

Exercise And Water
First I've heard that one. I would think if you are exercising you are 4 - 6 weeks post surgery and you can drink all the water you want. Interesting, I have no problem drinking lots of water while exercising. Just take it slow, see how it feels, you'll know if it is too much at once.

What You Haven't Lost All The Weight Yet?
I had that at first too. Now nobody even mentions it. I still have a long way to go. Somedays I will just be up 3 or 4 pounds, it used to kill me! I don't know what it is, cuz I would be doing everything pretty right then a week later those 3 or 4 pounds plus another 1 or 2 will be gone. Your body retains fluid, or maybe you haven't gone to the bathroom for a few days (I have this problem alot). Dont give up.... I started at 432. The journey has not always been easy but so worth it! I think the key is exercise (for me).

New To The Site In Serious Pain :(
oesophagal dysmotility - my Dr. doesn't like to tight because of this. She says if you can feel the food sitting on top of your band it is too tight. You should eat and let each bite go through the band and it should only take a minute. If your oesopagus has to work and work to push the food through it can wear out the muscle and just quit trying. (another disadvantage for people who like their band really tight) I don't know if this is what is going on with you but could be. I have never read much on it, have just discussed with my DR. Best of luck to you!

How Does The Band Feel
I don't feel anything (except I can feel my port if i touch where it is located) Other then that, you can't feel it inside you.

21 And Hoping To Get The Lap Band
Good for you LIndsey. Get super educated about the band and how it works and I'm sure you will be successful. Wow... wish I could have done it at 21. Good Luck

Wait And See Or Get Unfilled?
Personally... I'd go for an unfill. I would be lost without my band and would hate to jepordize a slip by being over full. (just my 2 cents). Some people do adjust after a couple of days, so take it slow. Good Luck.

My Fitness Pal
I use it all the time. It really helps me keep on track. There is nothing I put in my mouth that I don't log. I think their exercise calories are really high though... I usually shave a few off.

Out To Eat
google the restaraunt you are going to. check out the nutritional Values. Any "chain" should have it on their website. Otherwise... go for protien like steak or chicken or fish/shrimp with steamed veggie as side.

Dr Questioning Possible Leak?

3 Years Post Op And Have Gained Back Most Of My Weight
This is my biggest fear. I have tried very hard to change my lifestyle permanently. I indulge once in a while, but I know that I could easily slip back into bad habits. I eat nothing without knowing exactly how many calories are in it, to a point of obsession. Granted there are times I eat a high calorie item anyway but I just don't and can't let it be part of my everyday life. I know you are having complications with the band, are you eating the right foods? Get back to the basics. Follow the rules, chew chew chew, eat slow, and small bites. I haven't been stuck in many months! I wish you luck! YOu can do it!

I Can't Decide
I went to six seminars (3 years) before I decided to do it. Oh how I wish I had done it 3 years earlier. You'll be amazed at how quickly the joint pain gets better!

Just Wanna Kick Myself In The Arse!!
Wow... that's terrible. You have to find a way to control what you eat. If you make it a regular thing to eat that kind of food... you will fail. It is up to you. I would simply leave when they came in the house with that stuff. That would be a great time for you to go to the gym or for a walk. You need to make healthy choices, I am sorry your family is not a good support system but you need to do this for you! Every pound you lose will motivate you to lose more. You are a beautiful woman and you deserve this. You can do it!

2 Years Later.....
I just realized I have been banded 2 years (yesterday) 2 years = 151 pounds Average loss per - year = 75.5 month = 6.3 week = 1.46 day = .21 82 pounds to go!

I Just Got My Second Fill, I'm Up To 5.5Cc.
I was so lucky, I had restriction right from the get go. I lost 8 - 10 pounds every month for almost a year. Then i slowed way down. I just had a fill today for the first time in over a year. Only 0.2 cc, my dr. likes to take it slow. Some people don't notice a difference for a week or two and then it hits them. Good Luck!
