  1. Does anyone have any good at home work out ideas? I hate going to the gym and I am so sick of walking. I need to start toning up but I have no idea what types of excercises to do. Any advice would be greatly appriciated!
  2. My second fill wasn't as bad as my first but it still sucked. I got .5 CCs put in. My doctor said that I have a hard port to find but it will get easier as the weight comes off. All I can say is thank God I am not as bruised this time as I was last time. Good news is that I lost 10 pounds between fills. Things are really looking up in 2011. I hope the weight keeps coming off at a steady rate and that I don't have many major issues.
  3. I have 4cc's right now. I am feeling some restriction but not alot. I go for my second fill on January 3rd. They are going to add 1cc and we will go from there. My doctor told me anywhere from 6 to 8cc's is the sweet spot.
  4. i was banded on November 1st. I got my first fill on November 30th. I have a 10 CC band and got 4 CC's. So far I have some restriction but I know that I am nowehre near where I need to be. I go back for my second fill on January 3rd. My doctor says it typically takes 3 to 5 fills to hit the sweet spot ( between 6 and 8 CC's full ). Good luck to everyone! Keep up the good work and support.

Well I had a really bad experience with my first fill yesterday. They were looking for my port and it took them three tries to finally find it. I am hurting so bad today and I am all bruised. If this is what is going to happen everytime I don't want to do it anymore. I got 4 CC's put in but don't have alot of restriction. I hope this gets better because I don't think I can deal with it much longer. Not regretting my decision but trying to get over the complications I have had.
  6. Just wondering if anyone else had trouble with their first fill and trying to find the port. I recieved my first fill yesterday and it took three tries to finally find it. Now I am all bruised and wondering if it's going to be like this for every fill.
  7. That is so awesome! I can't wait to go shopping! Congrats and keep up the good work.
  8. I am officially banded. Everything went really smooth. I have had some pain with the incisions but it is mostly gas pain. Things are looking up. This is one of the best decisions I could have made. Good luck to all of you getting banded the rest of the month. We all need to offer positive support to one another and I know we can make it through this.
  9. Monday is coming fast! I am so nervous about getting banded. I know that things will be ok though. The toughest thing so far is the liquid portion of the preop diet. I am so hungry it is not funny. I figure what is a couple months of "torture" for a lifetime of health. Good luck to all the November Bandsters. We are all going to do well!
  10. Ok everyone... I am needing some encouragement right about now! I was scheduled to get banded on October 25th but my insurance was being retarded so I has to reschedule for November 1st. I just started the all liquid portion of my pre surgery diet and it is going well. Here is the bad news... I got sick this past week and went to the doctor and I have Bronchitus... :sneaky: They put me on steroids and some antibiotics and 2 different inhalers trying to get me better quickly so I can still have my surgery on Monday. But due to the steroids my surgeon is thinking about postponing it yet again...:w00t: I am so stressed out that things are not going the way that they are supposed to and it is making me second guess my decision. I know that getting banded is the best thing I can do for my health but it seems like everything is trying not to let it happen... If anyone has advise I would appriciate it...

  19. Well my surgery is scheduled for October 25, 2010 and I am really nervous. I know that this is only going to improve my health and well being but it doesn't make it any better. I am scared out of my mind that something is going to go wrong or that it isn't going to work. I know that these are fears that I don't need to be having but I am a total worry wart. I am sitting here at work and all I can think about is my surgery. I am super excited that I am going to be able to do a lot of things that I was never able to do because of my weight. This really is for the best and I just need to keep telling myself that everything is going to be ok. The past 5 months of preparation have been worth it and I am glad that I am finally going to be able to live the life I have never had.
