  3. As for me I was probably didn't really focus on eating until around a month. When I did eat I only ate a few small small bites and then pushed it to the side. I think that fluids are very important to help with healing and how you feel. Just eat a few bites and do what you can do.
  4. I am now in a size 18 20 and looking for some clothes. Any help would be greatly appreciated
  5. I made a promise to myself early post op that I would not look at the scare but once a week ... period no excuses. That seemed to help me alot. Even when I hit a stall it was easy to see that I lost .5 pounds instead of not losing anything or maybe gaining. Our body's really do go through alot during this surgery and healing. You have to allow the surgery to work, just follow the guidelines and you will see results.
  6. I had a very hard time with food the first 1 to 2 months post op. Nothing sounded good and I didn't want anything but I wanted to eat good stuff. It's a very confusing time for your body. All I can advise is to ride the roller coaster ride that you on right now and when it does come time for food remind yourself that you are not going to be able to eat that much. Enjoy the taste of the food instead of how much. Also remember you are still healing and eating solids wont feel the same right away.
  7. I am on birth control pills and by cycles have been either right on time or they have been crazy here there and every where depending on how much I lose.
  8. I have one and found that it's alot easier to clean and when it comes to making a protein shake for one... well it's just alot easier.
  9. Thanks guys. I think I am going to take a few days and boost up the carbs for that time and see if it helps. Once that is done I will start back on the high protein and the way things should be. We will see what happens.
  10. Thanks Tiff - I will take the words of wisdom. I am actually drinking the low calorie gatoraide right now which I normally only do when I am in the gym and weight training but I thought... what the heck.. Tomorrow I am going to focus on hydrating really well and eating some carbs. Then by tuesday I should be able to see how I feel and if I can push for walking in the morning and going to the gym after work.
  11. Hey Tiff thank you for the reply. The doc said that all my labs were in normal range encluding my thyroid hormone levels which I suffer from dramatically. I take two pills a day which is rare. Other then that he has really said to push myself into the gym. I do have a nut. and when I asked her she said that everything seems right with what I am eating. The loading up on carbs and spinach sounds like a really good idea. I have not had hardly any carbs unless it was in cottage cheese which wasn't much. most of my meals are soly focused on protein with a lil bit or two of veggies. Any advise is so well appreciated. I am willing to try anything at this point.
