    2nd fill today

Hello everyone. So today was fill #2. Doctor seems pretty happy with my success to date - I am down 35 pounds so far. I only lost 3.5 pounds between fill #1 and today..(2 weeks) not sure if that's normal or not - they seemed happy, so I guess I will be too. Am hoping it picks up a little more now...we shall see, I guess! I hope you are all doing well and have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

    Almost 2 weeks postop!

and feeling great! Lord after death seeming to be a step up that first week, I am now settling into feeling much much better. Back to work, and having to work at getting all the food and drinking into my busy day....but managing...some days better than other. Still HATING the damn protien drinks....I look for other ways to get the protien in besides that - that's how much I hate them. Wish it wasn't so damn cold outside - maybe I could walk more....Still down 21 pounds - havent gained any back, havent lost any more....hmmm, guess it will get better with the first fill....(I hope so)

I have to go back to work tomorrow....

So today is 6 days post op and I woke up today feeling soo so much better. I am still really sick of soup - I hate soup now, I think of soup and get very angry - like the hulk! I have to go back to work tomorrow and really would just rather win the lotto, become independently wealthy and just stay home for the rest of my life - however, here in the real world....yeah, back to work. I am a little worried about that, because I feel pretty weak and tired, but what the hell - I'll give it a try. Today - I was so sick of soup that I mashed up a turkey pot pie and made it mushy and ate half of it - at least it was real food. The protein....OMG - it is sooo yucky! :scared2: Who makes this stuff? I feel like I am 3 years old holding my nose shut to drink it - seriously. I weigh 20 pounds less than when I started this whole deal, so that's good - but I dont really see it.
  9. I want to be part of this group and dont know how - I had surgery 11-4 and today (day 4) I am feeling pretty miserable.

    not feeling like a ninja

Today is Saturday and I had sugery on Thursday - I feel like I have been hit in the gut by Chuck Liddell for about 1000 times. AND, am exhausted - I just cant stay awake for crying out lout. Pain is eh - still taking the pain meds - havent been hungry AT ALL -and am still sick of soup. My hubby is taking good care of me, as are my boys - went to watch the last football game of the season today - didn't think I would make it all the way through, but surprised even me! Hopefully I will feel better tomrrow. Down 16 pounds from initial weigh in.:smile2:
  11. I LOVE your blog about licking the twinkie - totally sounds like something I would do....you made me laugh - thanks for that!

    Update

So, the pulmonologist hasnt yet ready that stupid, pain in my ass sleep study, so they pushed my surgery back to November 4th. I am actually not terribly upset about that. It gives me time to really get mentally prepared for eveything - the countdown begins, and I am trying to turn my fear and anxiety into excitement and joy!! Why am I so scared about something that is going to be so great?? :cursing:
  13. Best of luck on your upcoming surgery! It was overall pretty easy. Just make sure to walk and keep drinking fluids. You will do great!

  14. Congratulations on your Insurance approval! Wow, they put you thru fast huh? Good luck on Thursday, I will be having mine done on Monday morning! Anticipation is killing me! Make sure you join the Outrageous Octobers group so we can keep in touch and support one another!
