  1. Hi everyone, I got banded on the 15th. It has been tough. I am really hungry and want to eat everything I used to eat but I am staying strong and so far have lost 16lbs. Everyday its a struggle but has been getting easier, though occassionally I want a burger and fries. I went into a clothing store and looked at clothes and searched for my size which they didn't carry and it was extra motivation. This liquid diet and changing the way I eat has been one of the hardest things I ever had to do. I know that it will be worth every ounce of effort I put into this because I will no longer worry about being unhealthy or be ashamed of the way I look. I am looking forward to the journey ahead of me...Good luck with yours everyone
  2. I have had PCOS since I was 13. I just got banded on the 12.15.10. I have been dealing with the facial hair for a while too and it just gets worse and worse. I financed laser treatment at the American Laser Center and it has done wonders. I would recommend it to anyone who has this problem. Good luck <3
  3. I have had PCOS since I was 14....I am now 23 years old and just got banded 12/15/10. I am very excited about my new journey.
  4. I have had PCOS since I was about 13 and I was very thin until I was about 16 (130 at most). Started Metformin when I was about 20 and it was successful for me. I gave birth to my beautiful daughter at 22 years old, May 2009. I am 5'1 and after I gave birth I was weighing a whopping 250lbs (gained 53lbs). I lost most of the weight shortly after. I had gallbladder removal surgery November 2009 and then I went down to 198....right after that up to 208. I coudn't get lower than 200 with dieting so decided that I would have the lap band surgery. With problems like PCOS, sciatica, high cholesterol and asthma, my surgery was approved in 4 days. I had my lap band surgery on the 15th of this month. I started the liquid diet 7 days prior and have lost about 16lbs so far. I am still on liquids until the 29th but I think I am going to continue the slim fast and only have dinner. I get my first fill on January 19th. I didn't get the gastric bypass because I only have about 85 lbs to reach my goal weight. (now 70 with the recent 15lb loss) Anyone have any questions about anything I will be happy to answer & Good Luck with your journey <3
