I am two weeksout from surgery adn I am hungry!!! I am trying to stick it out until monday when the dr said i can go to mushies, but damn i am hungry! The only thing keeping me from eating everything in the fridge is the fact that I don't wanna screw up my band! Today I stuck to liquids, just water and protein shakes, then at dinner I had cream of potato soup, but strained, so basically just the 1% milk broth...yummy! I will take what I can get....good luck to you...let me know how you are doing!

Today wasn't as bad...back to basics!!! Protein drinks for me...not much else!

They told me to start walking as soon as the surgery was done...I think you will be fine being two days out...I was banded on the 6th...I feel totally fine now..as soon as the staples were removed the soreness subsided. I am on full liquids for 20 days...my dr is really strict! You were actually allowed to have a greek yogurt? Amazing how dr's differ! Hang in there!

Thanks, I am too scared to actually eat anything at this point...I have 14 more days of liquids.....I will stick to this no matter what....even if I have to lick something every day...I will not eat it!

I was banded on the 6th by dr kwon....he is great! You have to lose 5%-10% depending on insurance...I had to lose 5% and I have BCBS....Good luck!

I started my journey back on June 24. Once I went to the seminar and actually knew that I met the guidelines, I was full speed ahead. I had to have tons of testing, but i only took 48 hours to get the good word from the insurance company. I have BCBS through Noitu which is a local trade union, they normally suck, but tey approved me! I had a BMI of 41 with no other health problems. I am so excited. I would call your insurance first to see if they cover bariatric surgery. That is what I did. You can get the medical code from the lapband website. Good luck, let me know how it goes!
