That is awesome! We are just now looking into the surgery. We are going to a seminar about it this evening. I was just wondering how long it took you to get approved and plan the surgery?

LAP-BAND Patients

I started my journey back on June 24. Once I went to the seminar and actually knew that I met the guidelines, I was full speed ahead. I had to have tons of testing, but i only took 48 hours to get the good word from the insurance company. I have BCBS through Noitu which is a local trade union, they normally suck, but tey approved me! I had a BMI of 41 with no other health problems. I am so excited. I would call your insurance first to see if they cover bariatric surgery. That is what I did. You can get the medical code from the lapband website. Good luck, let me know how it goes!
