Post op a few days and addicted to food network!

Ok, it just dawned on me that I am addicted to food network. I love cooking now that I know that I am not going to inhale the whole plate!!! Am I alone on this? All I can think about is all the wonderful food that I can cook...even though I may want to eat it right now, I know that I have to stick to program....It is amazing to me the psychological differences that I amhaving since being banded only a few days ago....HERE IS TO MY JOURNEY!!!! GOD LET IT BE A GOOD ONE!!!:frown:

Since I was banded I probably cook 95% of our meals where as before we ate out or had fast food at least 80% of the time...what a huge difference. I dug out some old cookbooks, I get some recipes off TV, I love Healthy Recipes and Recipe Calculator From SparkRecipes.com and there are a couple more websites but I absolutely love to cook now especially knowing what a difference I am making not only for me but for my families life!! I have a 3 year...I need to show him the proper way to eat...not the way we were going!!

Oh, how funny! I found myself glued to the Food Network the entire liquid phase of my diet as I was recovering. My family found it a little odd at first. However, I have found that is a way to get some great recipes and modify to meet my needs and the needs of my family. You are not alone!

I try to stay away from the food network and food scented candles - LOL! I love cooking too! I still cook for my family, only now I only have a small portion which I eat very slowly and actually enjoy much more than I used to. Plus, I enjoy the left overs the next day for lunch and suppers at work. I'm so happy to be eating small portions and feel very satisfied and feminine. Its all good!
