  2. If you cannot swallow water, or liquids without throwing up you need to see your Dr! This happend to me so I know what it feels like to be too full with saline. But, I had to go in twice to have some taken out each time and now I am much better! It is good to wait a few days if you can because your stomach is irritated after fills BUT if you cannot swallow liquids and are not getting any nutrition, you need to go see your Dr!

    Fills in Kansas City

Hi I go to Dr. Malley off of Johnson Drive and Nall. He is the leading surgeon in KC and very good!
  4. Well happy early birthday! I have my first fill tomorrow at Dr. Malleys office and I cannot wait. What should I watch for the first day. I am nervous! Congratulations and way to go! Jennifer
  5. I am so happy for you! I was banded by Dr. Malley on August 31st. I have my first fill this Monday. But on my own during the 6 weeks of healing-I am watching what I eat, getting used to no beverages with my meals and walking! I have lost a dress size just doing these things before my first fill! I love Dr. Malley. He is awesome! Take care and congratulations! Jennifer Short
  6. You will love it! I had it done by Dr. Malley on August 31st. My advice is- do everything they tell you. Liquids, to soups, to soft foods and then to regular food. You will not have your first fill til 6 weeks after your surgery. I have my first fill this Monday. I won the 2010 contest with Dr. Malley. Go to my blog on malleysurgical.com. Jennifer Short is my name and I have bloged about my process this whole time. I have lots of tips before and after the surgery. Be patient. in these 6 weeks for recovery I have watched what I ate, got used to no beverages with my meals and walked. I am very detailed with the blog. Go to it and I promise it will help you prepare and right after the surgery! Good luck! I am so happy for you! I have lost a dress size in those 6 weeks! My fill is Monday! Good luck! Jennifer
  7. Hello! I was banded on the 31st! I am doing well. The incisions never hurt, but my shoulder pain has been horrible! My surgeon said it is gas and could be the nerve in the shoulder. Something about moving it around during surgery and you can upset the darn thing! Well, today is the first day my shoulder has not been killing me! Do this-walk everywhere, continue to take your gas meds, and use the heating pad! It helps a ton! I am assured it does go away! Get the heating pad out now! It will help! Keep in touch. I have a post op appointment with my surgeon here in KC on Friday! Take Care, Jennifer:thumbup:
  8. I will say a prayer for you too! I was banded a week ago tomorrow and doing well. I have had the horrible shoulder pain, but each day it gets better. Do exactly as they tell you and you should be fine. Rest, walk to move the gas, take your gas aids, pain meds and all liquids! Thinking of you! Jennifer
  9. Hello everyone, I was banded on August 31st. The incisions never hurt but the shoulder has been real sore! I did all to do for the gas, got it out, now I am thinking it is just that nerve. But, each day it does get better, but oh wow, it hurt. No sick at my stomach at all which is good. I am now on a protein shake for breakfast, soup and yogurt for lunch and the same for dinner. It is going fine. Pre-op appointment is this Friday. Take care everyone and congrats!
