  1. I'm wanting to know how many of you didn't feel the full effect of your fill until about a week or two later? I got my 3rd fill yesterday and I'm now at 3 cc. I do notice that I'm not as hungry and not thinking about food nearly as much as I was before this fill. So any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Banded Nov 28, 2006 1/17/2007 2cc 3/8/2007 .5cc 4/17/2007 .5cc
  2. Thank you for your info Rene. It's much appreciated.
  3. My doctor is kind of stingy with his fills. I get one every six weeks. It's not like I can call him and tell him I need a fill whenever I want. My first fill, I didn't feel any restriction and the second, I barely feel any. I can even eat bread with no problem.
  4. Hey ThatGirl, I got my band on November 28, 2006 and have only had 2 fills. 1st fill was at 2.0cc and the 2nd he put .5 I work out 3-4 times a week. But I think when you start working out, you lose inches first. I've only lost 5 lbs since my 2nd fill. And I feel like that's not good enough. Who knows? I guess everyone is different :phanvan
  5. I have 2.5 cc in my 4 cc band and I hardly feel any restriction. I see these people who have great restriction at 1.5 cc and it frustrates me. I go back April 17 and hopefully get a fill. Is it possible for me to have stretched my pouch after 4 months post op? I don't overeat so I don't think I've stretched it, but maybe I'm just worried over nothing. Any suggestions?:help:
  6. I think you will definately feel it tommorrow after the anesthesia has worn off. The 2nd day was the worst for me. I hope you heal nicely.
  7. I'm not sure if mine is low profile or not. I just started feeling it today. I won't be getting a fill until April 16. I have always been able to feel my port from the outside but never felt this feeling before. I'll call my doctor. Thank you.
  8. I've been banded for almost 4 months and just today I noticed when I walk I can feel my port moving inside me kinda like when I was first banded. Is this normal? Did something happen with the port? Has this happened to anyone? Thank you for your help.
  9. I have 5 scars. 1 big one and 4 small incisions. I was only at the surgery center from 830-430 and got to go home. It took about a month to fully feel myself again. I hope this helps. Oh and my surgery cost 12,900.
  10. Hey Welcome to LBT! I usually do weigh every morning (when I weigh the lightest) But you'll notice more of a difference if you weigh maybe once a week. Pick a day that you want to weigh and you'll be happier with the results other than weighing everyday and not seeing the scale budge. I hope this helps.
  11. Hey Chris! Thanks so much for your help! I'll check into it
  12. I just recently joined 24 hr fitness and for now I'm only doing cardio. Eventually I would like to start weight training but I don't know the proper way to lift weights without gaining muscle on top of fat. Anyone have any ideas as to what reps I do? Thank you guys. You are all so helpful
  13. It's weird cause pre surgery, the only dryness I would experience would be my legs and my face but now it's my stomach and a little on my face. Weird how the surgery changed alot of things.
  14. Hey everyone. I've noticed that ever since a couple months after my surgery, my stomach gets very dry and scalley for some reason. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. Thank you all for your support.
  15. I have really bad menstrual cramps at that great time of the month. I was wondering what I could take that I don't have to crush or swallow any pills Is there any sort of liquid form of midol or pamprin? Any help would be greatly welcomed. Thank you girls.

  17. Hey everyone. I've started a boot camp as of today. I'm trying to find out what is the healthy intake for protein, carbs, calories, and fat grams. Can anyone tell me what is recommended for each? Thank you very much.
  18. Thank you for your input. My doctor is weird about fills. I told him I feel no restriction and he keeps telling me its only a tool. But it is supposed to restrict me right?
  19. You've done really well so far. Trust me it only gets better. I just remember about 2-3 weeks post op, thinking geez am I ever going to feel normal again? But in time you will. Just remember that this time is for healing. Give it a little more time and I promise you will feel a lot better. Good luck to you.
