  1. I like your outlook. For so long I was unhappy with my body and myself that I couldn't last in a relationship because I was constantly thinking "What does he think of me"? I have so much more confidence now more than ever and still have 65 more lbs to lose.
  2. Haha you think that's bad. I have 3.75cc in a 4cc band and can eat bread :faint:
  3. What exactly are the flex points? Are they the extra 35 points you get for a week? I ended up with 2 left over points yesterday and didn't feel deprived at all.
  4. I had a funny experience at a Mexican Food Resturaunt once. I guess I ate too fast and so I excused myself to go to the restroom. The waitress asked my friend if I was ok and if I was enjoying my meal because I had hardly touched it and my friend just told her I wasn't feeling well. I came back and thought I was ok until I felt more wanting to come up and had to go back to the restroom. I must have gone about 5 times and we had to be somewhere soon so I just asked the cashier for a styrofoam cup while we were walking out and decided I thought it was going to be the last time so I ran to the restroom with the cup in my hand and got everything up finally. A few weeks later my friend that works at that resturaunt said that the cashier told a bunch of other people that I was taking a pregnancy test in the bathroom . WTF? First of all I was drinking a margarita, why would I be drinking if I thought I was pregnant? It was very amusing.
  5. Do you think a 1400 calorie diet per day with WW is too many as a banded diet?
  6. I too have started WW today. I'm doing the points system. I'm allowed 28 points a day with an additional 35 bonus points to do with whatever I please whether it be on a couple of days that I went over on my points or should I choose to save them until a cheat day. Does anyone know how many calories it is allowing me to take in based on my 28 points?
  7. Me and My Dad at Vegas Airport July 2006- 300 lbs Me 10 months post op- 240 lbs Me 11 months post op- 236 lbs
  8. Arria started talking to this guy from E-Harmony and he wants to meet but she's not sure if he fully understands that she is overweight (even though he's seen plenty of pictures of her) and she is getting opinions on whether she should make him well aware of the fact or just go on the date and see what happens.
  9. Ya some of them I met and they were so into me on the date and then never called me again most of the time. Guys are retarded
  10. I've been there before girl. I've talked to guys online and they've clearly seen that I'm overweight but still make comments like you have a great body and I bet you look hot in a bikini. I don't get it. Why would you want to see an obese girl in a bikini? Go for it, have fun, be careful and meet in a public place.
  11. Are you talking about Huntsville TX, Huntsville AL, or TN?
  12. Slippage is not always the surgeons fault. You can have slippage due to being too tight causing you to PB too often. It can also happen due to pouch dialation. There are no studies showing how or why erosion happens.
  13. I don't feel the way this guy does. I do exercise and I'm pretty restricted at times. I've played with the same 2 lbs for the past month or so and it does get frustrating. I'm not by anyway dissapointed in how I've done and I'm not some lazy bum that sits around and isn't active. I have so much more energy and feel great. I guess I get confused by the whole having to count calories.
  14. Yes I am very happy with the weight loss thus far but the scale will not budge lately. My doctor retired at the end of July so I feel kind of abandoned even though I know he needed to do what was necessary for him.
  15. I totally understand that counting calories is the key. But why should I count calories if I should lose weight with restriction alone?
  16. I want to get some things off of my chest because lately I feel like I pretty much have to be on a diet with the band. I understand it is a tool but I don't understand why people say they count calories and measure everything. Don't you think if I could count calories and measure everythng that I would have been able to diet without the band? I see some people just say they eat whatever they want just in smaller portions and then I see people say count calories. I guess I just don't understand the fact that I paid 12,000 dollars to count calories. Am I the only one that feels this way?:help:
  17. Ok ok ok! I thought I was the only one around here that had so much fill in my band and still felt that I wasn't properly restricted. I am currently at 3.75 cc in a 4cc band. I've only lost about 7 lbs since mid July which was the last fill I had. My doctor retired at the end of July and since then I have not found a new doctor. I am very happy that I have lost 62 lbs since Nov 28, 2006 but feel that I need more restriction. Do you think many doctors will fill you to the maximum fill volume?
  18. That was very well said! Great post
  19. Congrats on the successful weight loss thus far. Usually the slip will fix itself with a complete unfill for as long as the doctor thinks is necessary. Good luck to you and keep us posted.
  20. Well he's wrong about me living in Austin because I do live in Houston but he's forgiven, I guess. Distance does suck but like he said, only time will tell.:clap2:
  21. Ok are you drinking with meals, eating Protein first then carbs?
  22. Ok why are you complaining that you've only lost 3 lbs in 2 weeks? A healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs a week. What kind of weight loss are you expecting?
  23. I have not been diagnosed with dialation yet, but I am not able to see a doctor until the end of the month because my Doctor retired. I got some advice from someone in my support group meeting that if I feel that I've stretched my pouch to go on a liquid and mushie food diet for 2 weeks. I just started today and wanted to know, if I am dialated, and I shrink my pouch to normal size after 2 weeks will my restriction automatically come back? I'm now at 3.75 cc in a 4 cc band and don't feel much restriction and that's one of the main reasons why I feel that I have stretched my pouch. Any suggestions or comments are welcome. Thank you.
  24. HAHA! I did the exact same thing. I went to a mexican food resturaunt and really wanted a rita. It was also 3 weeks out and got real tipsy off one. I'm so bad!
  25. Ok I guess I'm real bad compared to most of you. I do drink on a regular basis, usually 3-4 times a week. I do not drink beer because the carbonation does kinda bother me. You do definately get tipsy a lot faster now.
