  1. Thanks for all the advice!! Best of luck to you all in your journey!
  2. My husband has been banded less than a month and has not had his first fill yet. He states that breakfast is the hardest meal for him because it just doesn't seem to keep him satisfied. Any suggested on what to eat in the AM to keep your hunger under control until lunch. Thanks
  3. Thanks Janet!!! Best wishes to you as well..
  4. I am so proud of my husband. He is down 19 pounds since he was banded in August. His attitude is positive, he is focused plus his energy level is starting to increase. I have not seen him this happy in years. Finally, he believes that he can lose the weight. It is the first time he can actually see himself being able to make it. I know he can and will be with him every step of the way.. Again.. so darn proud of my guy!
  5. Good luck tomorrow! You will be taking the first step to your new life.
  6. You will love being the first one in line... you will most likely be the first one to go home as well :0) Best of luck to you!
  7. The doctor will make you go through a series of test regardless if you are paying with insurance or cash. It is to cover them just in case... The only thing I can think of is follow up with your doctor's coordinator that is taking care of your application. Just make sure you do not get lost in the loop and they are submitting a complete package. That was the longest part of the process for us. Our file was not complete and no one informed us. So, once I stayed on top of it we were approved the next month :0) Good luck.
  8. Sounds great! I will have to try it out this weekend.

I agree... you need to seek out another doctor ASAP. I am so sorry you are going through this. Take care and please do not give up.
  10. no, why do you have to go out of the country?

    Great job!
  13. Good for you! Good luck and congrats
  14. Do you mind me asking what kind of issues? Did you have them from the start or did it happen after you started eating real food? My husband has been doing so well that I am afraid he could "push" it and cause a problem.
  15. It seems like you have been at this a long time with much success. My husband was banded 8/10. He is doing great so far, losing about a pound a day (which we know will not always be the case). The main thing for him is exercise. He hates it but knows he has to start doing it. Any suggestions on types of exercise he can focus on that help tone his skin/muscles as much as possible in hopes to eliminate the need for another surgery to correct baggy skin?
