My husband has been banded less than a month and has not had his first fill yet. He states that breakfast is the hardest meal for him because it just doesn't seem to keep him satisfied. Any suggested on what to eat in the AM to keep your hunger under control until lunch. Thanks

Is he able to eat solids yet? If so, try Egg Beater's Egg Whites . .. 1/4 cup scrambled with 2Tablespoons of low fat cheese, then place it on a piece of well toasted wheat bread . . add 1/4 cup yogurt . . I have this almost every morning and don't feel hungry until lunch. I am 7 1/2 weeks post op and have not needed a fill yet. Hope this helps . . . best wishes.

i find that a half cup of low sugar oatmeal with a tablespoon of real maple syrup keeps me full until lunch as long as i eat slowly.

Egg Beaters is also a good idea. protein keeps you fuller longer!

I too have not had a fill and feel hungry in the AM. I have since to keep with the liquid diet, did Whey protein shake (vanilla) with frozen strawberries and bananas, little apple juice and blend. They say that protein makes you feel full and not have the munchies. This also helped me continue to loose weight until my first fill which is Sept 7th, hooray. Things will change once that band is filled so enjoy now because you will have to reintroduce all these foods over again with the fill.

Best of Luck.
