  1. Yea he just touched my stomach then I left. Pretty much it. tnlamb408: Myoplex lite pre made, all flavors, I don't like the powder anyways they taste gross. Or pick up some Isopure at GNC.. it's "juice" like so at least it's something but chocolate flavor (I would put some sugar free kool aid in it to make it taste better)
  2. Yep! Yea she's so normal! She's great, she's gotten in much better shape in the past few years too she looks great.
  3. No problems at all. Yea lots of pain for the first few days, but that's normal. it's minimally invasive surgery, the incisions aren't even an inch big.
  4. Yea don't eat salad haha. I had one the other day when I was out because there weren't many lowfat options, but it wasn't very filling, I'd rather not eat one if I have the choice. Have a chicken breast, or chili, or ground turkey with marinara, or sushi... eat as much protein as you can then you shouldn't be hungry . Sushi has been GREAT for me lately, it's filling, and it's extremely low in calories (I have no problem with rice luckily).
  5. Honestly, I feel totally normal, I eat my food, and exercise, it's just life. Maybe it's just me but I don't feel deprived or anything really. I'm never hungry unless I wait too long to eat a meal. I don't want to do any serious cheating, I'm scared I'll get sick, I know I'll be fuller if I eat healthy foods, Protein rich foods and I don't want to sabotage this super expensive surgery! I do like to watch what goes in.. I've been looking at calories and things (i'm not anal about it and I don't really write it down, but I will check if I'm out to dinner and see what has lower calories), to me it's just not worth it to eat these things anymore. For some reason, since i had the surgery, I don't want these things, I don't know why this is, but I actually don't really crave junk. Yea that's true! I love food, but since I had the surgery I don't physically want the junk anymore. I know I can have a bite of something if I really need it, but I'm pretty content actually.
  6. I wouldn't imagine it would be a problem... yea maybe tighter because of the pressure or something.
  7. That's so awesome, congrats!! Jordin is one of my favorite people ever! I've meet her a bunch of times, she's inspires me actually, I love that she is so happy and loves life, and I like that she isn't a size 2 either, which is awesome
  8. Aww it'll be fine! Make sure you enjoy what you can eat, then you won't be upset you can't eat these other things.
  9. I still have gas, I was banded over a month ago. It's not extreme but I can pretty much burp on command haha
  10. Exactly what you said. It's not going to make decisions for you. It's a lifestyle change, the skinny lifestyle doesn't include endless cheeseburgers, Cookies, cake etc... it includes exercise and healthy food. It controls my hunger, which is what I want it to do. If I want a bite of something bad, I can have it, but it's not every meal. The calories in those foods are not worth it to me anymore!
  11. They are gross but I just do it, it's not that unbearable haha. Might look for another option when I finish the bottles. I got a sample of Bariatric Advantage.. I think they were like soft chews, those tasted good.
  12. I didn't know they had anything good at PF Changs! All their dishes have so many calories. Good to know. I like the Elephant Bar Macau Shrimp & Noodle Soup (400 calories), it had tons of shrimp, mushrooms, and other veggies it was really chunky and filling and it was the perfect size bowl, it's not huge, but plenty of food. Spicy Ahi Tempura Roll at Cheesecake Factory (680 calories), I couldn't eat the whole thing but it was really tasty. It's still a bit high in calories, but some restaurants you can't really do better than that. Guiltless chicken Platter at Chili's is good too i think it's 580 calories. They have tons of really low cal meals at Red Lobster! I haven't gone yet since I was banded. I went to California pizza Kitchen and they really had nothing healthy so that would be a skip if you can. (they have this new law in California that ll the chain restaurants have to print the calories on the menu)
  13. hmm well artificial sugar is so much sweeter than regular sugar, I don't like it much either. I guess you could use real sugar, depends how much, and how often. If it's occasional I'm sure its fine but if you drink several a day I wouldn't
  14. Hasn't been too different for me. But I am trying to make food less important. It's not like we can't eat anything! I feel real good going out and being able to pick a healthy choice. When I used to go out just shopping or something I'd always be looking for food, or something to have as a snack, or what can I eat at the movies? I don't do that anymore.
  15. Pretty much, but it's on a need to know basis. I don't just go telling everyone I meet for no reason.
  16. Mine was 1 week clear liquid pre-op 5 days liquid post opp 10 days puree's 10 days mushies day 26 start full food I'm sure it's not a problem, just be careful and watch what goes in! I almost feel like the stricter guidelines prepare you for real food. More than your body can't handle it.
  17. I generally do calories, and protein, but I don't keep track daily.
  18. Full food it's fine. I wouldn't on mushies. I had one the other day it's just not filling at all. Not my first choice.
  19. It should be fine! Go for it. I just wouldn't scurb at your incisions or anything.
  20. It's got to be hard with a family, but should they really be eating brownies 4 times a week either? Or get something for yourself, like 100 calorie pack of Cookies or something so you don't feel left out. Or they have 100 calorie hostess cupcakes not sure how that would go down though. I don't live with my parents, but they are even scared to tell me what they ate for dinner .
  21. I ate stuff like that on my mushies. I'm sure it's ok.. mine said 1/2 cup for the mushies I'd maybe at a little more and I was fine. I think you are fine. Just don't go CRAZY or anything. Just make sure you eat filling things, don't waste your 1/2 cup on carbs or junk or Water.
  22. LOL now I want one! Maybe take one bite? Sometime i'll do that if i'm out, i'll just take a nibble. Those aren't real doughy... My mom called the other day and told me she went there for lunch and almost everything is pretty low cal! http://www.redlobster.com/menus/lighthouse/Default.asp? gonna have to go sometime
  23. Yea, it sounds dumb, but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to feel like haha. I haven't had my fill yet, I do get full off smaller portions, but yea I'm not sure what my body will feel like after a fill will I just be full with less? I guess maybe I thought it would feel REALLY obviously that I had something in me.
  24. I haven't really had any trouble. If anything people are just curious, so I try to explain it the best I can. (none of my friends really super overweight) Your friend that said "why don't you diet on your own" I tell em I've done that, and I can lose 50 pounds, I can't lose 150 on my own, I need help. Is she just jealous? Or she can't financially do it or something? You could have a talk with her, say this is important to me, and your my best friend, I want your support. I'm doing this for me yada yada yada... Nothing should really change! I do the same things with my friends I did before surgery, we still go out to dinner or clubbing or whatever. I just don't eat as much.
