  1. I am a pre bander trying to do as much research as I can. While reading posts today I came upon the subject of going out to eat, making sure where the bathrooms are in case of having the need to vomit and ordering sliders when eating out. First, is vomiting really an issue that happens a lot and exactly what foods are considered sliders? If you have the need to get sick is it the overwhelming kind of vomiting we all have done before banding? Do you have time to get to that bathroom you scouted out while entering the restaurant? Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.
  2. :cool2:Any mentors in the St Pete/Tampa Bay area?
  3. Thanks Betsy for all your information. I will let my doctor know about this particular situation with Cymbalta.
  4. Thank you all for your responses. I do appreciate all your input into my situation. Amanda I will let you know if when I hear back from my doctor.
  5. Dear Betsy, I'm taking Cymbalta for anxiety and I do appreciate the pain relief I also get for this drug. Since you are expericenced with these drugs what would you recommend as an alternative? I appreciate your response to my question.
  6. I take Cymbalta and was wondering if anyone is taking this drug after surgery? My PCP as asked their Pharm salesman but still don't have an answer. Hopefully someon out there has experience with this situation and can help me find answers before my surgery. Thank You.
  7. Thank you Jingle. I have pretty much decided to purchase the Bullet. I wanted to wish you good luck with your up coming surgery. Let me know how things go for you post op. I'm hoping to get my surgery down in December. I will be thinking of you and praying for a smooth transition. Keep me posted.
  8. Thanks Cindy I will check it out. The magic bullet is much more expensive.
  9. Debra, I looked at some of your recipes today and especially liked the cannellini beans and shrimp. I have not had my lapband surgery but hear that shrimp is very hard to eat. Do you do anything special to the shrimp or are you just lucky and can still tolerate eating them?
  10. Thank you all for your input. I will look into the Hamilton Beach before I make my final decision as to which one to purchase. You guys are GREAT.
  11. Would it pay to order the Magic Bullet? I happened to watch the infomercial today and wondered if this blender is a worth while investment and if so what suggestions can you offer for using it? Thanks for any input you can give me. I have not had surgery yet but trying to get ready when my day comes. :rolleyes2:
  12. Hi Kathy, my name is Linda and I seem to be at the same stage of the lapband process as you are. I also have an appointment tomorrow with the hospital coordinator to find out all the pre-op requirements I need to do that my insurance requires. I am very excited but also very nervous about having the surgery. Doing lots of research. It would be nice to go along together through this process. What do you think? Good luck tomorrow. Hope to hear from you soon. Linnielady
