Fitting in an "average" size necklace that comes pre packaged with the charms my husband buys me
Being able to go to the carnival with my niece and get on the rides without fear.
Knowing I'm in the same weight range as my husband. We're only 9 pounds or so apart
CONFIDENCE

I have one. And, I will say I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it!
It not only tracks the calories you burn, but it tracks your sleep AND the amount of steps you take.
It is definitely a motivation tool.
I adore mine. I wear it DAILY! Feel naked if I don't!

MRSKOUBiK got a reaction from Melixxa in I'll show you mine... (LBD's)
I seen this post last night. And, I was like WOW! I want to participate. However, I'm not a HUGE fan of my last LBD picture. Don't get me wrong it was a GREAT day. My husbands graduation day. It was also the first time I was able to borrow clothes from a "normal" sized friend. But, the shot was quick... and yeh.
Then today I remembered I had a LBD my mom bought me a few weeks back. IT's gorgeous. But, we couldn't get it zipped up last time. But, it was 10 bucks and she said YOU WILL FIT IT SOME DAY BUY IT!
ANYWAY! It's still a little snug but I was able to put it on, turn it around to zip it up, then move it back around.
the really crazy thing is that it's a size 8! Granted it is cut a little big. But, still AN 8?!?!
I'm in a 12 right now and the thought of size 8 is still crazy. lol

Sorry, I lost track of this posting.
To track sleep, you place the FitBit on a little "bracelet" and you hit this button. When you wake up, you are to hit that button again.
It measures how long you slept, how long it took for you to fall asleep, and how many times you woke up. And, then it puts it in a nice little chart.
As for biking, I'm not sure if it's that accurate. I haven't biked yet. I'm about to buy myself a bike, so I will try it then.
But, everything else is fairly accurate. You can hit the same little button you do for sleep to measure activities. So say you wanted to know how much you walked in one hour, you could hit start, and then once the hour was up, hit stop. And, it would show you that total before giving you the total combined steps.
I absolutely love my Fitbit. I ended up getting mine through Best Buy because they offered a better insurance program.
I wear it daily.

I have not noticed anyone saying that. But if I did I would let them speak their mind and then I would move on. I try not allow peoples odd/different behaviours to annoy me. I think life is too short to allow it so I just ignore and move on.
Not sure if this is what you were wanting as a answer.

MRSKOUBiK reacted to 2bslimkim in What Can I eat at the movie theater?
This is going to sound totally rude, not meant to, just some tough love... but since a movie is only about 2 hrs long... Maybe we stop associating food with entertainment There is no rule that says a movie must be accompanied by food.
I would suggest using your new tool to learn that not all functions need to come with food. I know it's hard but it can be done. I had to learn how to go hang out with my husband and friends, at their favorite BBQ place, for several hours at a time, at least once a week. I've managed with total success. I order my iced tea and sip on it while the boys chow down on BBQ and beer. I make sure i'm not hungry when I go (first rule)
We must learn to think skinny...... My Dr. told me that if I want to have an indulgance (for me, it's a glass of wine at nice restaurants) that I need to make sure i've burned the extra calories thru addtitional exercise that day or by cuting calories out of my daily diet. "Make sure it's worth it" he said.
Basically, going to the movies needs to be about the movie and not the food... enjoy the company, the movie, the people watching then go have yourself a healthy snack or meal afterwards (or before).
Movies are just a beginning. It may be a trip to the zoo with the kids, a summer Cruise vacation with the family, a Baseball game, School candy fund raiser, Girl Scout Cookies etc etc etc...... these situations will not go away and we must use our new tool to impower us to make better and wiser choices. IT'S HARD...... I DO UNDERSTAND. I'm learning that myself.
Best wishes at the movies...... you will do fine

MRSKOUBiK got a reaction from Amber in Fun with my old jeans :)
About an hour ago I was going through my clothes in the dryer to find a T Shirt to wear out to the store real quick. I found the shirt I wanted, AND an old pair of jeans from my PRE OP LIFE. They were the biggest pair of jeans I have ever owned at a size 26.
I kept holding them up to me, and was just amazed with the changes.
I am not even 4 months post op yet. And, my life changes EVERY SINGLE DAY. It's simply amazing.
Well, then I had the bright idea to see if I could fit into ONE pant leg of my old jeans.
So I tried it... I COULD!
Oh my gosh. I hopped into the other room to show my husband who just started to laugh!
Funny thing is that under neath my jeans I have a pair of big
sweat pants on. LOL. It bet I'd been more comfortable had I NOT had them on.
