Cigna ??'s
I don't think they really look at the weight loss. I think they just want to make sure you're staying consistent. My advice: Make sure when you go to submit your paperwork, you have EVERYTHING. Food journal, weigh in's supervised a doctor, all the necessary tests they required, a letter of necessity. They're pretty good with approving IF you have all your ducks lined up. But, if in the case you get denied... keep calling, find out what you're missing. I was denied at first, and was HEARTBROKEN. I called and asked what all they needed. I got all that stuff.... And, was quickly approved. No appeal needed GOOD LUCK

Support? where is it?
Not really, everyone chooses their option for their own reason. I never even looked into the RNY because I didn't like malabsorption concerns. I didn't want the re-routing. And, I was worried about re-gain. A lot of people think the sleeve is a new new procedure, when in reality it's new as being a standalone procedure. It was done in the past as a stepping ground for patients who were too big to have the DS (I think, my brain is off on lala land this morning!) They would do the sleeve, once the patient lost enough weight, they'd go back in and do the other part. But, the found it had enough success as a standalone procedure. I wish you luck on figuring out which you want

only 20 pounds lost since surgery!!!!!
Those with more to lose, lose faster sometimes with bigger numbers. Since you only had minimum to lose, it will take longer. A loss is still a loss though. So ROCK YOUR SLEEVE <3

why am I not happy? POST SLEEVERS HELP
It's perfectly normal. At this point you've probably spent more time being heavy that you have thinner. Of course it's going to take time to get used to it! Just be patient! Congratulations on your success!!

Fun with my old jeans :)
It was so fun. I'm so glad I saved them. I accidently threw them in my bin to give away... and, recently I went through them and sorted them. So luckily I found them. I'd rather keep a pair of pants I actually wore instead of going to a store and finding a pair of 26's. If that makes sense?

It feels so good

Do you still attend support meetings? How far do you go?
I use the one my surgeon has... It's very close and easy. It's a good experience, and I enjoy meeting others who had WLS. My surgeon's office also said that studies show those who regularly attend support groups lose more, and maintain it! I'll probably attend as many as I can for quite some time!
