Typical life story in that I yo-yoed my way up to over 250 lb and managed to take off the same 20 lbs over and over again. Tried everything I could afford to try. Dealt with a lot of issues in my life but couldn't beat the weight problem. Initially worked up for GBP surgery about 20 years ago but insurance wouldn't pay and I couldn't afford it. So when the Lap Band came out I waited for it to be available in the USA. My mother died last January and it really got me thinking about my own health more seriously. I also had insurance that would cover the Lap Band. So I went for it. I want to be healthier and more fit. And I am well on my way!
