  1. Congrats on your banding!!! I was banded on Monday (7/26) at Lenox Hill in NYC. It was a great experience one that almost mirrors yours! I ended up having a hernia which they had to fix while they were in doing the banding, so I am having some pain near my chest. The gas was also slightly uncomfortable, as well as the incision sight neat my bellybutton. I has such trouble post-op trying to pee lol. I too had the urge but it took about 4 hours for me to go! But now that its all over and I'm home resting, I couldn't be more happy :scared2: I hope all is well with you
  2. lk77- Thank you so much for checking in. The surgery was a success and I could not have asked for a better experience than the one I got at Lenox Hill. All the DRs and RNs were amazing and supportive. I ended up having a hernia which they needed to fix during the surgery, so the dr. says Im having a little more pain than normal. But my anxiety is gone and I am so excited and optimistic for the future! Now that the surgery is out of the way, I know I can do this! How are you feeling? I read your post from 7/8 about going back to see the psychologist, did you ever do so? I have to tell you, your ability to identify your issues with food and desire to take the steps to ensure you change them in order to succeed with the band is a testament to how well you will do. I think you will have nothing but success with the band! Please keep me updated! Alison
  3. Hi  In reading your post it sounds like much of what I am feeling, you are feeling too. I am being banded on monday (7/26) by Dr. Roslin in Lenox Hill in NYC. My excitment has turned into anxiety, which I am hoping is normal More so I am afraid of failure, but I guess I just need to take the leap. I have my final consult today and questions for him ready. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed :tongue2: Best of luck to you!!!!
