  1. Congratulations to you too! Is this your first?
  2. I was recently diagnoised with a dilated esphogas and a hiatal hernia. My doctor has been suggesting a band replacement for some time since I have a lot of throwing up issues -- the last appointment she insisted. So two weeks later I was scheduled for surgery. I am not sure why, but I took a pregnancy test the morning of the surgery -- it was positive. I went to the store and got another one-- it was positive. Still convinced it was wrong I went to the hospital and had a blood test and yes it was positive. So now I am 4 weeks pregnant with some issues. I am thrilled to be pregnant - I have a three year old boy - but nervous with the band issues I have. It is hard to change gears from replacement surgery to pregnancy. I am going to have the band slowly unfilled (Not totally). What a week!!!
  3. Congrats! I am 5 weeks pregnant with my second. I am really excited. I was scheduled for a removal and replacement last Thursday but found out I am pregnant -- I am so happy but concerned about the band. I have a dilated esphogas and a hiatal hernia -- it is going to be a long pregnancy! I had my first son a year out -- I had a slight unfill and no issues. (Hard to relose the weight you gain so be careful!) Rachel
  4. Best of luck to all three of you. I was actually scheduled for a removal and replacement last Thursday when I learned I was pregnant. I have a dilated esphogas and a hiatal hernia and I throw up like ten times a day. The surgery was cancelled and now we are going to start deflating the band really slowly.... I hope all goes well. I am so nervous about the band through the pregnancy.
