I am only in the beginning stages, no surgery date yet or anything, but isn't funny the little things you miss like crossing your legs. That will be wonderful one day, I will be there too!!! One other thing I can't wait for is being able to go to an amusement park with my nieces and nephews and not worrying about being too big to ride the ride!!! Keep up the excellent work!!

Wow, I hope that I have the will power and strength that you have if I do decide to have the lap band. I too, have not told any of my family except my mom, dad, and younger brother. I know that they will all be very supportive and not poke fun or taunt me with food. Not sure how the rest of my family will react, but it doesn't matter because I'm doing this for me and not them. Keep up the excellent work!!!

Thanks for all the wonderful advice and information. I'm just trying to get all the information, people's views, people's experience, just everything I can before I make my decision. I know a couple people myself that have had the band and they have all had wonderful experiences with it. One has lost over 100, the over close to 60 or more. I think this will be the best option for me because it sounds much safer then gastric, and I need something to help me lose the weight I need to, to be healthier and happier!! Thanks again!!

This is all fairly new to me, I have only had my initial appointment with my doctor and I'm waiting to see what all my insurance requires before I can have the surgery. I was just wanting to see if anyone had any bad experiences from the LAP-BAND® surgery, if after you had it you regretted it because of the problems you may have had. I have only read good things on here and I just want to make sure I'm making the right choice and wanted some opinions from people who have had it done already.
