I have had a few fills and yes, they do recommed you dont eat solids (like Winks said) a few hours before the fill. I didnt feel my band tighten on the first couple of fills but felt it on the last one. Not a bad feeling though just an awareness of it actually being there. Happy first fill!!!
  2. Ok, the night from hell to say the least. Nothing stayed down, when I finally fell asleep I woke twice to vomiting in my mouth. And the constant girgling in my throat never stopped. At it seams this is a sign that the Tank is to full! Just got back from the doctor. The PA removed .50 CC and I am feeling a little better. Before this fill I only lost 1 lb in 2 weeks and from my weigh in yesterday until my weigh in today at the doc's I lost 3 grrrr. This is a baby step process I see and shame on me for not eating everything right before the fill as I probably wouldnt have needed my second fill so soon. Liquids for 2 days and I will behave after I am back to normal again.
  3. Thanks I just tried but my computer wont let me get in for some reason...ughhh
  4. My second fill and I am constantly feeling air rising up my throat. I am trying to drink liquids but even those cause the air to rise. I feel a little better when I "pb" (throw up)as I have read on here because an actual burp comes out with a little liquid or saliva. I guess I have to wait until tomorrow anyway but I am looking for advise??? Could it be the band is to tight? I went in and got 2 cc's but she had to remove 1 right way so I only got 1 cc. I am at 6.5 cc's since surgery (06/15). I am so confused...can this 1 cc make me go from almost eating anything to almost zero?? And I feel hungry

Ok, it has been one month since I had surgery (06/15) and I lost nothing but what I did the first week. I was very upset to say the least finding that I could eat anything as I did before surgery. Plus I was hoping to have lost at least 10 lbs :frown: The PA said I had 3.5 cc and she added 2.0 cc so now I am at 5.5 cc's and I guess we have to see see  I also go back in 2 weeks to see if I need more in my band. Feeling discouraged

That is alot of weight in 1 month. Are you eating normal and if so did you share what you are eating with him/her? The thing that strikes me as odd is that your recently nauseous. Pregnant or problem...tell the doctor.

Ahhh the start over after a fill, so not looking forward to that. First fill for me 4 weeks from my date of surgery cuz I am feeling like I can eat anything without restriction. How many fills does it take to get to that spot. Your going on number three...is that because your not feeling the fullness when you do eat?
  9. I too lost only 6 lbs. Now I am in a stall mode. My surgery was 06/15 and I am getting a fill because I feel no restriction or fullness. If it hadent been for the great people sharing info on this site I might not have known I need a fill and it is not normal to not feel full at some point! Special thanks to Tina and Maggs they are great bloggers!!!
  10. Darn if I can find them after I read them. Wish my weight vanished like that...lol. I am not so savy on this site so does anyone know how to retrieve them or am I having a major blonde moment? Found the emails now!!!!
  11. I did now and all I can say about it is...........AMEN!
  12. Well, I feel really good My port incision still hurts and the swelling is going down to an extent that I can feel the port when I press on it. Losing average 1 per day. Going back to work Tuesday so I plan on being alot more active. It is tough now because it is like 150 degrees here in S. Florida . I am going to try a bike soon to to see how that goes. Getting a fill in 2 weeks already. I told the doc I dont feel any restriction. I am not hungry but could probably over do it without some discilpine...rut roo! I dont go to the bathroom (number2) and this bothers me. I dont know if I can take a laxative. I think protein binds you up or something....all this foreign healty food in my body and it doenst know how to act. In the mushy stage; egg salad, tuna salad, hummus (a first not bad) and of course those lovely protien shakes. Best wishes to all in your banderama!

OMG I/we all need a card where did you get it? I know that they wont serve you a kids meal unless there is kid present which is crazy. You can get one if you order out just not eat in!

I was told 70 to 80 grams of protein a day from the nutritionist. I bought this flavorless protein (but to me tastes like creamora) and add it to soup or yogurt to fit more in other than shakes for muscle milk.

Umm...yes I have the schedule for the liquid diet but bad habits die hard. I really didnt know that was the reasoning for the liquid diet after the surgery, I was not told. And I read the phases and they all end with until you can tolerate...guess I thought I didnt need the phases if I was able to tolerate already. Thank you for the info I will use it like I should have been now that I have a better understanding.
  17. The soreness is getting much better. I am wondering though...is my band tight enough? I have not pushed the limits to find out but I can eat a hotdog on a bun, had a cup of spaghetti with a meatball. I have the cuts so I knowwwww I had surgery but I why can I eat these things?? Maybe I need a fill as my band may not be tight enough????:tt1: Going to the doctor on Thursday but if anyone has the same experince please let me know...
  18. I had my surgery on 06/15 and had the same thoughts as you...pain pain pain...I started feeling better yesterday. Hang in there it gets easier.

Chocolate is like chips...sometimes you cant just eat one. On the other hand it might just satisfy you to have the ONE kiss! Much like many of us we had to have the bag before. Sometimes when you say "I cant" have it we go overboard. No man overboard's....this PMS will pass.

Thank you for responding...guessing the honeymoon phase is me being able to have a slice of bread? Guess that would be since "carbs" are a no no and that I will probably getting a divorce soon.

Well, I thought I would share a few things and maybe get some feedback. I had my surgery on 06/15. I am completely still sore and am having a hard time getting off the couch where I need to sleep because it is easier than the bed. I have no appeitite either? I am making myself have the requirements but have not had a hunger pain yet. I have eaten 2 pieces of dry toast to absorb the medicine as it sits a little weird and Jello isnt enough. I am very suprised I could do a piece of toast without a problem. Kinda worries me that I can though it makes me feel better with the meds. Any advise out there? Richele
