Thanks for the blog comment! I'm heading up to Minnesota next Friday. It's about a 6 hour drive from here in the Chicago area. Not TOO bad. The awards this is in two weeks! I'm nervous, but I don't think I won anyway, so I'm just going to go and have FUN!
I feel like I've been neglecting this site, though not intentionally! Sorry I've been MIA! I'll try to sneak on here when I have some spare moments! Keep in touch!

been to the gym 5 days this week so far and met a workout buddy there! We are meeting up tomorrow afternoon as well. Praying I see the numbers start to DROP on the scale a bit more.

Don't give up. I'm having a rough time of it right now too...haven't had a fill yet and feeling like a failure for eating what I think is too much or not the right stuff. But we have to help each other thru this "bandster hell" we're going through. When were you banded again?

Go to LAP-BAND?.com and I think you can register for one under My LAP-BAND? Journey. It has your surgeon's name and number, type of band used, surgery date, max fill volume and has a diagram of where the band is placed. It says it is MRI compatible and has some drug warnings on it for ulcerogenic meds. At the bottom of the card it has a note to restaurants. "Please allow this person to order smaller portions, as the amount of food this person can eat has been greatly reduced."

Good luck!! My surgery is the 14th. I'd love to know how you're doing post op!

Haven't been on here in ages--kind of stalled in my weightloss after moving back to Ohio. But getting back on track now!!

Hi! How are you doing since having surgery?? I'm scheduled to get my band a week from tomorrow, the 14th of June. I hope you are well. Can I add you as a friend?

Hi! I didn't have any other attachments on me when I woke up. Just the nasal oxygen thing and IV. When they injected the meds into the IV, they took effect within a few seconds. That was great! You will be fine--I wasn't too scared until I was being wheeled into the OR, but that was "too late" to back out. Haha! I'm a little more swollen today than yesterday, but icepacks help with that and the Vicadin takes the edge off the pain (which isn't horribly bad to begin with.) Stay in touch! Good luck!!

Hi! I was up and around very quickly after this surgery. And I was driving (though uncomfortably) 2 days after surgery. My surgery was on a Monday and by Friday night I was out with friends to see a band. You should be fine! And, though I have never had a c-section, I have heard other people say that it doesn't even come CLOSE to that! So if you can survive that, you'll be fine!! It's so minimal and uninvasive--two 1/2 weeks later and all 3 of my incisions are closed up, the two little ones are barely pink anymore! Best of luck to you! Add me as a friend and stay in touch!

Hi!! I am eating almost anything that I can make mushie. But my favorites are tuna, mashed potatoes, string cheese (chewed up well), chicken breast (tiny bites, chewed well), cottage cheese, yogurt, salmon, and still having a protein shake about once a day. How are you doing one week post op??

I am drinking the EAS Advant-Edge shakes. Pack of 4 for around $4 at Target or Wal-mart. Vanilla is my favorite flavor, but chocolate is pretty good too. They are really tasty! And filling, which is good when you have to do the liquid diet for 2 weeks!!
