  1. Hi! I saw you are being banded on the 15th. I'm being banded on the 14th--I have to be there are 5:30am! Yikes! haha

Anyway, best of luck! Let's keep in touch!!

  2. Thanks for the blog comment! I'm heading up to Minnesota next Friday. It's about a 6 hour drive from here in the Chicago area. Not TOO bad. The awards this is in two weeks! I'm nervous, but I don't think I won anyway, so I'm just going to go and have FUN!

I feel like I've been neglecting this site, though not intentionally! Sorry I've been MIA! ;) I'll try to sneak on here when I have some spare moments! Keep in touch!

  3. You're not a baby, btw! I think it would be unnatural to not be scared or worried about the surgery. ANY surgery can have complications, but the good thing is that you already know and can trust your surgeon!

Good luck! Let me know how everything goes on Monday--I will do the same! :)

  4. been to the gym 5 days this week so far and met a workout buddy there! We are meeting up tomorrow afternoon as well. Praying I see the numbers start to DROP on the scale a bit more.

  5. Bought a Fitbit today...we'll see if it helps me in my journey! I surely hope so!

  6. Don't get me wrong, the shakes get old regardless! But I have found that I really like the EAS AdvantEDGE vanilla flavor.

  7. Don't give up. I'm having a rough time of it right now too...haven't had a fill yet and feeling like a failure for eating what I think is too much or not the right stuff. But we have to help each other thru this "bandster hell" we're going through. When were you banded again?

  8. Found out we are expecting in January! Now praying for a healthy baby...

  9. Go to LAP-BAND?.com and I think you can register for one under My LAP-BAND? Journey. It has your surgeon's name and number, type of band used, surgery date, max fill volume and has a diagram of where the band is placed. It says it is MRI compatible and has some drug warnings on it for ulcerogenic meds. At the bottom of the card it has a note to restaurants. "Please allow this person to order smaller portions, as the amount of food this person can eat has been greatly reduced."

  11. Good luck!! My surgery is the 14th. I'd love to know how you're doing post op!

  12. Great!! Someone else in the Chicago area!! Nice to meet you! I am definitely taking it easy, but not feeling too bad. still no nausea or gas pains, thank God! Keep in touch!! :)

  13. Happy to have lost 4 pounds this week! :) Getting there!

  14. Haven't been on here in ages--kind of stalled in my weightloss after moving back to Ohio. But getting back on track now!!

  15. Hi Sandi! Thanks for the comment on my page! I requested YOU as a friend. :) Any prayers are much appreciated. I'm not scared for tomorrow--just anxious. Can't wait to get it over with! Ha! Talk to you soon!

  16. Hi! How are you doing since having surgery?? I'm scheduled to get my band a week from tomorrow, the 14th of June. I hope you are well. Can I add you as a friend?

  17. Hi! I didn't have any other attachments on me when I woke up. Just the nasal oxygen thing and IV. When they injected the meds into the IV, they took effect within a few seconds. That was great! :) You will be fine--I wasn't too scared until I was being wheeled into the OR, but that was "too late" to back out. Haha! I'm a little more swollen today than yesterday, but icepacks help with that and the Vicadin takes the edge off the pain (which isn't horribly bad to begin with.) Stay in touch! Good luck!!

  18. Hi! I just added you as a friend. :) Good luck with your surgery!!!

  19. Hi! I was up and around very quickly after this surgery. And I was driving (though uncomfortably) 2 days after surgery. My surgery was on a Monday and by Friday night I was out with friends to see a band. You should be fine! And, though I have never had a c-section, I have heard other people say that it doesn't even come CLOSE to that! So if you can survive that, you'll be fine!! :) It's so minimal and uninvasive--two 1/2 weeks later and all 3 of my incisions are closed up, the two little ones are barely pink anymore! Best of luck to you! Add me as a friend and stay in touch!

  20. Hi! I'm being banded on the 14th. We should keep in touch!! Best of luck to you.

  21. Hi! Welcome to the site!

  22. Hi!! How are you feeling? How was your surgery?? Hope you are well.

  23. Hi!! I am eating almost anything that I can make mushie. But my favorites are tuna, mashed potatoes, string cheese (chewed up well), chicken breast (tiny bites, chewed well), cottage cheese, yogurt, salmon, and still having a protein shake about once a day. How are you doing one week post op??

  24. How did your surgery go?? Remember to walk a LOT and take GasEx to help with any potential gas pain. It's a miracle drug in my opinion! Let us know how everything came out! :) Wishing you well.

  25. I am drinking the EAS Advant-Edge shakes. Pack of 4 for around $4 at Target or Wal-mart. Vanilla is my favorite flavor, but chocolate is pretty good too. They are really tasty! And filling, which is good when you have to do the liquid diet for 2 weeks!!
