  1. I was told only liquids before the fill and after for 1 day, then mushies for 1 day then reg food the next....
  2. I got my first official stuck yesterday while eating sushi...I have never gotten stuck on sushi yet but i took a really big bite and "forgot" I have the lap band so I didnt chew very well it hurt so bad...I had to get up from the table I thought I was going to throw up, I eventually burped and felt so much better. NEVER will I take a big bite like that and not chew chew chew!
  3. Well lets see you are eating roughly 729 cals per day so if you add a drinkable yogurt that would add 200 to make it 929 or even add some Protein shakes with skim or 2% milk. Just an idea :smile2:
  4. I have a very small band a 4cc one and it was filled at surgery with 1.5cc i am almost 4 weeks post op and even though I can eat what every I want I do feel restriction at about 1 cup of food.
  5. Well that part makes sense I understand until good restriction dieting is a must I was just hoping it wont have to be an all time thing from now on.
  6. If you have too many I'll be happy to take one off your hands.. ha ha
  7. I was on WW on and off now that I'm banded I was hoping to not go back to them. I was hoping I wouldnt have to "DIET" Am I wrong to feel this way? I know that in order to lose the weight I will have to eat better and make good food choices I was just really hoping to not have to diet.....
  8. Thats how it felt for me right after I got my band...Sounds like you got a good fill.
  9. That sounds about what I was told to eat 3-4 oz of Protein and 3-4 oz of other foods either it be carbs or veggies...to equal 1 cup.
  10. There is no way I could be satisfied with only 6oz of food....Hopefully I will be satisfied after my fill in October! I thought that Protein itself was supposed to be 4oz at least...I'm so confused
  11. I eat about 1 cup of food per meal and drink 1-2 Protein drinks per day. I eat oatmeal in the morning some kind of protein and veggie for lunch same for dinner. I have not counted my calories so really dont know what it is at and I walk about 30 min a day.
  12. I was banded the day after you and only lost 12lbs and the scale is at a stand still
  13. I have not heard of erosion after only 8 weeks. It can take years of mistreatment to erode a band from what i understand... you should see your doctor if your worried about it.
  14. I SO WANT AN XPRESS GRILL!! ha ha it looks so cool. I had a forman grill it was ok hard to clean and the teflon fell off rather quickly! But it worked cooked good I just wouldnt buy another one due to the teflon issue.
  15. Hope I voted right...Good luck any animal luver is a friend of mine!!!
  16. Yeah I am 3.5 weeks post op and all my swelling is gone. I can eat just about anything but do get full fast. Cant wait for my fill in October. I too feel like I wont lose any weight the scale is against me right now, now that I am eating regular food and it's gonna be my TOM I actually gained 2lbs. but I'm sure it's just Water weight and should go away soon...
  17. I'm sure your band is just fine...but the post op swelling is going away so you are starting to feel hungry again that is normal. Your band could just be tighter during the day and gets more relaxed by the end of the day is all I'm sure your not doing anything wrong just keep eating your liquids, when I was on liquids I didnt measure I ate till I was satisfied and that was advised by my doctor. Good Luck!
  18. I luv potatoes so I'm gonna eat some he he....
  19. I'm in the same boat as you all...I'm 3 weeks post op and feel I could eat anything. But I do stop myself when I feel full and try not to eat so much. I cant wait till my first fill to hopefully get some kind of feeling of not being hungry as often.
  20. I too had this problem it lasted until I was on Full Liquids. And still a little bit afterward too. I also used benifiber to help tighten things up ha ha...
  21. I'd say pain was no more than a 4. It was difficult to move around sit up and down but not as bad as I thought it would have been.
  22. I am newly banded so really cant give you much advise but from reading all the post that I have so far I have heard that stress and TOM can make your band tighter. I will just have to wait and see what happens when it is my TOM... Good luck hope you feel better and that it gets loser on it's own with out an unfill.
  23. I was told by my doc to eat what I can to make me feel comfertable not full but content. I have not measured my food but know that about 1 cup makes me feel satisfied... I too am on mushies but find that I can eat anything with out problems.
  24. Bar code to what? How do I get rid of it?!
  25. Wow all of that sounds really yummy! I'm gonna have to find some money and head over to Costco!
