Should I be so hungry on mushies?

Surgery 8/31/10; started mushies on 9/16/10. 3 oz. does even come close to filling me up! Is this typical/normal? I am not going over the 3 oz. cause I know I am still healing and don't want to rip the stiches or anything and I am fighting not eating more than three times a day. Help! I need some advice here!

Could be that you aren't getting enough protein. Good soft protein foods are greek yogurt, cottage cheese, mashed beans, tuna or egg salad. Try sneaking a protein shake in there. Or boil a potato--add some broth and cheese--like a thick potato soup. Even some fat free/sugar free pudding made with non fat milk. Try to concentrate on getting your protein and you shouldn't be so hungry. Good luck!

I was told by my doc to eat what I can to make me feel comfertable not full but content. I have not measured my food but know that about 1 cup makes me feel satisfied... I too am on mushies but find that I can eat anything with out problems.
