  1. I told myself that I would only eat 1 cup for each meal to give myself a limit. And that's basically what gets me full. I feel like I need to get myself used to eating only that much before I get my first fill
  2. Good Morning everyone, I am 15 days post op and I feel that I am eating too much. My doctor gave me the ok to have soft and solid foods as long as i chew really well because it goes down with out a problem. Since I've started eating my weight loss has come to a complete stand still. I dont have any fluid in my band but I do still feel some restriction due to swelling I guess. But i'm wondering if i'm eating too much? I will admit that once or twice I went over board and ate till I was stuffed, but it still wasn't much food at all compared to what I used to eat. I'm trying to start fresh today and I need to know about how much food should I be eating each meal when I dont have restriction? A cup? 1/4 cup? 4 oz? Should I stick to soft foods at this point even if I can get everything down without a problem?
  3. I'm a week post op and have been getting pretty full of my liquids and soups, but I do get hungry about an hour or two afterwards. Its weird tho its like i feel full at the top part of my belly but the bottom half of my belly is growling and I really dont feel like drinking anymore. I go on mushies next week and hopefully it takes away the growls
  4. Hey I was banded a day after you and I just started feeling better about two days ago. No pain from my incisions but had horrible gas pains. I couldn't even finish a popsicle at first. But now that my gas is gone I can get a little bit more liquids in and I do get full off of very little. We'll see how it goes once all the swelling goes down
  5. Hi all! I was banded on June 2nd weighing 230 and today I'm down to 215 and its only been a week!! I'm not complaining but I'm just wondering if I'm loosing the weight too fast? Has anyone else lost alot of weight there first week out? And did it slow down once you were able to eat solids again?
  6. I feel your pain!!! I was banded a week ago and had terrible gas pain up until this Tuesday. The gas x didnt work for me so I called my docs office and they said use Milicon drops for babies. It really did the trick even on the first day
  7. I have Aetna insurance and they were farely quick. They also covered everything even my Psych eval and Nutritionist. Aetna usually requires that you meet with a nutritionist for 3 consequetive months before submitting anything. After all my info was submitted I got the approval letter in about a week and a half
  8. if you join lapband.com they have an area for recipes. They are categorized by meal, texture, and difficulty. I'm still in my liquid pphase and it has helped me out alot
  9. I was banded on June 2nd and have been having alot of gas pain in my chest. Sometimes to the point where I cant stand up straight. I've tried walking around and gas x strips. Now my doc says to use Milicon for babies. The gas is really annoying because I can barely get any calories in cause of the pressure in my chest
  10. Thanks alot. Keep me posted on the date maybe we'll be banded twins lol
  11. I'm looking for things that I can have during my first week after surgery because I am only allowed to have water based things such as popsicles, jello, broth and water based protein for the first week before I can move onto thicker liquids such as yogurt and shakes. I found something call Isopure at GNC, it has 40 grams of protein in a 20oz bottle and 0 carbs. I think thats pretty good. I wanted to know had anyone tried Isopure before and did it leave them with a full feeling? And also what flavors did you enjoy the most?
  12. Shopping shopping and more shopping wherever i want!!! I cant wait for my joints to stop hurting. And no more Spanx!
