  1. Hello everyone, My name is Diana and I was banded on 5/11 so am 4 days post op. Things are going good so far. Both my husband and daughter have had the RnY, my daughter in 2006 and husband in 2008 so am familiar with all of their struggles, I didn't feel that the RnY was the right choice for me and decided on the band earlier this year. Had my first consult with the surgeon on the 19th of Feb and after all of the required appointments and insurance approval was scheduled for 5/11. So many things are slightly different between the RnY and the band that I am looking for others that have or are going through the same things. Looking forward to getting to know all of you. Diana
