Brigham and Women/Faulker Hospital
Hi Jennifer, When you go in the day of surgery they don't even weigh you. I think they want to see if you're really serious and commited pre-op & you did really good. I only lost 16 lbs. of the 20 he wanted. I start my pre-op diet Tue. So I too have been suffering the "Last Supper" syndrome but not too bad. I don't want to blow it the next 2 weeks?? Wish me luck!! Hi Tracy, I'm booked for June 16th. We will be same Weeksters !!! I've had some Doctors with Lousy personalities, too. She didn't sugar coat anything. I think alot of people think that surgery is gonna fix everything. And should hear what you heard. I just don't think she new who she was talking to??? You handled the "Inquisition" perfectly!! You go GIRLFRIEND. Keep us informed. Best Wishes and Luck, Carol D'

When is the right time for a fill?
Hi Will, Sounds like you're losing weight slow and steady. I was told 1-2 Lbs. a week is what to expect. Stay off the scale, It'll drive you nuts. Fluids swing your weight all over the place. So just don't look every day!!! Slow down and let it just happen. I get my band June 16th. I can't wait!! But my expectations are to go slow. I don't want a bunch of hanging skin. The 60's forum is not that active. So I go to several other forums. Check out the Post-op and the General Most Asked Questions Forums. Look and Lurk at all the forums. Hang in there, we didn't gain the weight over night and it's not gonna come off over night, Good Luck, CarolD'

Am I a lair?
To tell or not to tell is your own business. Your not lying, you Have changed your eating and lifestyle. With work people you heard their comments about the "easy way". their is NO easy way. Your young and still worry about what peole think. I'm old enough to not care what people think. You've done "Great" . You should be Very Proud of all the hard work you've done!!! Just Love Yourself, Carol D'

Anyone else have a medi alert Bracelet or Anklet..??
Hi Marion, I can see your house from here!!! Google is soooo neat. I ordered a lot of Protein powders on line last night. I looked at a few places yesturday and they just didn't have much variety. I have enough stuff to hold me until my deliveries. Yesturday we broke a heat record from 1888 with a temp of 96 F = 36 C. I almost fainted. We never get those temps here in New England. This morning it dropped to 55 F = 13 C. (I found a conversion site) Yaa! Us Yanks and Aussies speak the same language but, diverged with Money, Measurement, Area, Temperatures and Weights. We have a 3 day holiday this weekend. It's our Memorial Day we celibrate our lost service men and women with parades, barbies with friends and family. It's kind of the unofficial opening of Summer:cool2:!!

The longer it takes the more you worry. Everyone has fears :smile2: and "what ifs". Just take it one day at a time!!! You'll be very sore for 3-4 days post-op and then move on with your NEW Life? Keep us posted, Carol D'
