Hello All, Haven't posted in awhile. Was banded April 7th and as of last Tuesday have lost 28 lbs.(May 6th?) Here is my problem: This past week, I have had an Awful time with acid reflux and Indigestion!!!! Even when I drink water. I am eating slow, chewing very good, noit drinking with meals.. all I am supposed to do. Gonna end up with holes in my esophagus at this rate. Called Dr. Edwards office, and PA will be in tomorrow and will call me. Have taken prevacid, zantac, tums.... still only get relief for very short periods of time. HELP Please. Sorry about ticker..don't know how to update it

Well, all of you seem to be progressing and doing great! Only hope I can live up to all of you! My lap band date is April 7th. They will call me Friday the 4th to let me know what time. I am really happy that the date is almost here But......I am apprehensive, frightened, even thought about cancelling. Have I tried everything before deciding on this.....YES, I have. But still frightened. So. if all of you, my mentors can do this, I will give it my all. Thanks you all for the encouragement you give to each other. What a wonderful group you are! Linda

Ok ladies, Tomorrow is when I see Dr. Edwards and get my surgery date! I am so excited. Have been reading post about pre-band, post band, horrible things that can happen.... I am trying to read EVERYTHINg. My hubby says maybe I have been reading too much. lol I go from excited, to worried, to frightened, to excited etc. Alot of the weight losses I have been reading about are slower then what they said at Drs.

Thank you so much Maziemommy for the support, and all of you other wonderful people also! Expect Dr. Edwards to set my surgery date at my second appt with him this Thursday the 13th. Will let you all know then. Can't wait. Hope you are all doing well. Am planning on going to support group also Kathy. I also am not big on large crowds. :thumbup::biggrin2: I am soooo happy. Feel like I am on cloud nine! Got a call yesterday! My 2nd appt with Dr. Edwards is scheduled for Thursday the 13th.. Mary said that he will give me a surgery date then! WHOO HOOO. As I stated earlier, this has been a year now. Darn insurance company, and real skinny doctor who suggested ww, or Jenny Craig. She has No concept of weight loss:rolleyes: ANYWAY, I am going to go to a new Dr. after surgery is over and things are calmed down. FINALLY...told my hubby I don't think I will believe it until AFTER I finally have it lol. Take care all:regular_smile: PS how do you get the diet ticker. Hi Mazie and friends, Going on four weeks no, believe that is correct, will give Mary a call Monday, tomorrow. in hopes they have started on my case. Is it true that Dr. Hodges is gone and Dr. Edwards is only one doing banding in Springfield. (Read that somewhere) If that is the case it may be a long time before I get in. Sure hope not. Still waiting.

Tabitha- Keep a good thought, and I will do the same here for you. I too have thought about what will happen if I can't have the banding,but will think about that, if I have to, later. Hi maziemommy, Still haven't heard from Mary yet. Getting VVVery nervous. I have alot of health problems and I hope none of these cause a problem with having the band surgery. Wonder if I should call Mary. Hubby hasy give it a couple more days. Trying. lol I also am self pay. Keeping my fingers crossed, and thinking good thoughts. Thank you for the interest and support. Really is appreciated. PS three weeks sisnce I sent papers in.

Hi, I am from Springfield and Dr. Chris Edwards will be my Dr. Have returned all my info and am waiting to hear from his office. How are you doing, how long after allo papers and records in before banding. questions, questionslol. Would love to hear what is going on with you. Lindao1
