  1. Well it is close to my one year surgiversary and I have to say that I have been a total lazy bones the last 3 months and I am kicking myself in the butt for it. I am jumping back on the exercise bandwagon. I gained 3 pounds the last couple of months but I think it is from some medication I have been taking but I should be able to stop in the next week or so. THANK GOD. I know I know 3 pounds big whoop but I still want to lose an additional 15. It is so great to come back and see everyone that is working their sleeves and giving so much inspiration for those starting their journey. Way to go girls and guys too. Here is a pic from shopping last week. I shop wayyyyyy to much now lol. I never have problems finding something I like. WIsh me luck in getting those pounds off and finally getting motivated again to stay on track. I still eat small portions but I have been craving a ton of carbs, sugars and soda. If I just pay half a bit of attention it is no problem to keep losing. Say a prayer for me please.
  2. OMG Irene I havent been around in forever and you have totally rocked the crap out of your sleeve. YOU LOOK amazing and you have toned up so nicely. WAY TO GO!
  3. Hi ladies I came across this virtual weight loss simulator totally by accident it also has where you can try on different shapes of clothing to find what might be a flattering cut for you. Here is a link! Have fun. http://www.mvm.com/cs/
  4. Chilo I am so happy for you and your appt to get the TT. It is going to rock your world. Is the price in Paraguay better then your neck of the woods? I have been just out living life I guess. I feel like I don't hide around the house now that I am at a weight I feel comfortable at. I start back to work tomorrow, I have been off for over a year and I think it will actually be just the distraction I need to keep me away from extra goodies. NJMOM- I live in central California smack in the middle of Bakersfield and Fresno, so the middle of NOWHERE hehe. The prices are getting really competitive with the doctors on botox. I like that healthy competition hehe. Becca-Thank you so much for the cheer, it is hard as a mom sometimes to spend that money on luxury things especially when I paid cash for a TT then cash for the VSG and now the little extras but I guess since it isn't breaking the bank and my kids are well taken care of I shouldn't feel to bad about it.
  5. Yes, it is and congrats. I bet you are walking on air.
  6. I went for it and got a bit of botox between my eyebrows about three weeks ago and I freaking love it. It sort of gave me a tiny eyebrow lift, it cost me only $9/unit for a total of $108 bucks and was sooooo worth it. I look refreshed and the little furrow lines I had creeping in have relaxed and dissipated. I also had dermabrasion and an IPL (laser treatment) also known as a photo facial done to my skin and it is currently lightly flaking off the top layer of skin. It is not red or raw it just looks like I am maybe peeling from a slight sunburn (without the redness) and the skin underneath is revealing to be soft, with smaller pores and really even skin tone. Next appt is for a revision I need on my tummy tuck and some abdominal lipo I am going to combine with that revision. I guess it is the year of taking care of me? I think this might be getting addictive.
  7. I think that is a very reasonable price for a full TT. I had one almost 4 years ago when I was heavier and though I had a great result I wish I had done the surgery then the TT. I need to have a revision to the sides of my TT due to a common occurrence called "dog ears" where the side each incision sort of pooches out so I am going for a consult next month to have those corrected and have my tummy lipo'd with it. I was waiting this long to have them fixed just for the fact that I knew I wanted to lose more weight at that time and I figured I could do the lipo and the revision at the same time. So I should have those done within the next eight weeks. YAY me. I say go for the TT it is a total shape changing surgery. Clothing just fits so well after and they should tighten those tummy muscles and if you have had children that is especially helpful. My tummy is solid as a rock! good luck
  8. Chilo I am with you, I havent necessarily fallen off the wagon or anything I too have just not been tracking or following the eating standard. I have maintained my weight loss but I know I want to lose at least 15-20 more pounds and it is so within my reach. I just gotta get back to the basics. Like Will said I don't want to have wasted my hard earned cash only to put this weight back on one pound at a time because I wasn't paying attention to the "RULES". I am starting back to work full time next week and actually think it will help me with my loss. I tend to throw myself into work and forget about breaks and eating so missing a few extra calories here and there should be helpful.
  9. I am late to this party also but we had surgery around same time and started at same beginning weight. I am so inspired by your success you should feel so proud. You have totally transformed your body, it is freaking amazing. GOOD JOB!
  10. You know Globetrotter I dont think I have ever read exactly how much weight you have lost total since surgery. I only seem to catch when you have stalled or gained. How is weight loss overall?
  11. I am so glad you didn't get held up on having the sleeve. I remember how long your journey took and finally the insurance company started covering the sleeve and you got your approval so that would have stank! Welcome to the losers bench and keep us posted.
  12. Of course they don't get all of that. The negotiated rates are much lower and also depend on the usual and customary amounts. What I think we all find so surprising is that if she had negotiated a self pay price and several people here have paid self pay in the United States.... it would have been 15k-25k.
  13. Thank you for clarifying all that! I guess I never really knew the specifics of the birth control guidelines of Catholics. I am glad that your doctor advised you of the need to not get pregnant so you can enjoy your hubby post op with a clear religious conscience. BZ two thumbs up wink wink
  14. I used Dr. Liza Maria Pompa in August she is at LIMARP.COM. Great facility and staff!
  15. I also watched a procedure called "tickle lipo" that you don't go under for and the patients actually experience a tickling sensation and are laughing while they lipo. I watched it on The Doctors program.
  16. YAY a celebrity! LOL. You look amazing.
  17. Welcome and congrats on taking a step closer to being healthy! What are your weight stats? Where are you having surgery?
  18. I am confused, you can tie your tubes but not use a condom?
  19. HOLY CRAP that doesn't even include the physician and anesthesiologist fees!
  20. I agree with Rootman it is often emotional especially if you feel lonely. Just try to relax as much as possible you are in great hands with Dr. Aceves and his team. You will be home and with family very soon. Keep us posted.
  21. You look wonderful and I think your loss is nice and steady. Congrats to you.
  22. Well crud I just googled can catholics use condoms and I had no idea they could not. I knew pills were out of the question but had no idea that barrier methods were not allowed. I'm Pentecostal and I had no clue. Also, I don't know about anyone else but when the pounds start coming off the libido starts going up. It may be easier said then done. Getting creative without having intercourse could be a lot of fun.
  23. Diva I noticed your newest avatar pic on another post and was going to tell you that you look great. You can tell so much in your face and neck that you are shrinking and FAST. Awesome job.
  24. Girl you look fabulous and it is like you and I are neck and neck with our weight loss, our BMI's and our goals. It feels great doesn't it?
