  1. Well:nervous ... I am male and 22 yrs old pretty much anything turns me on :thankyou: That being said, I am not attracted to MO women but however large women, curvy women, etc...it depends upon face and initial personality.
  2. if you ask the typical WLS person they will tell you that they did it for thier health, family, etc. and while this may be true I am wondering how big a role vanity had in your decisions. I will admit that my vanity was the final straw that helped me to make my decision.:rolleyes
  3. I have been in martial arts for 17 yrs and I do tournaments with sparring and would like to know if the band and/or port can "take a hit"? I would be willing to give up Martial Arts for a healthy body but...it would be hard.:phanvan P.S. I might as well admit I do Cage Fighting somtimes also...I know Stupid Men and thier testosterone! lol
  4. My Health Plan (OHP, Oregon Health Plan) does not cover lap-band or even gastric bypass. :think Looks like I'm gonna have to self-pay...any advice on banks, etc?
  5. DerickM replied to Carlene's topic in Rants & Raves
I voted last week, Oregon has mail in votes so no hassle of going to the polling place.
  6. Thank you Wheetsin.
  7. Do Males and Females lose diffrently or react to the band in other ways? A niggling little fear that I have is losing muscle mass, I know I will lose some becuase hopefully I will not be carrying around a 160 lbs of fat but I do not want to lose too much. Have any of you noticed a loss of muscle?:phanvan This question may sound a little vain:embarassed: but, has your social life improved since you have lost weight? I have a BMI of 45 but I do not consider myself "morbid" I can get around under my own power (tying shoes suck though lol) and I work, I can do hard physical labor with few problems due to my weight. Will this hurt my chances when I go to the doctor?
  8. Well, I guess I should start off with my stats: Sex: Male Age: 22 Height: 6'2 Current Weight: 370 lbs. All Time High Weight: 460 lbs:embarassed: Lapband: Not yet, still in the decision stage I have a few questions, but will lurk a little more to see if my questions have already been asked and answered by others . I know how annoying it is when a newbie comes in and asks the same thing that has been asked 1000's of times lol .
