Hi healthy 1 here I have two more doctors visit the end of this month and 1 the beging of July and I have cigna too I was wondering how long it takes to get approved too.so let me know really wondering here

I also have gone to the dietian and have gone over all that I have to do and eat spent more then 3 hours with her I didn't mind that.and I will see her again before I am finished .Its the doctor who I seen 3 months ago when I was thinking about this and he said go for it .Now he has to monitor me for 3 months in a row too.

oh yeah does that sound furmiure I get that all the time here I have lost 20 pounds here since I first start and it is starting to get to me now no sweets no bread nothing white does it ever end.everyone thinks if you just stick to it you can do it and I have 3 more months to go yet.

Hi, I start my three visits next week with the doctor I was upset when I found out that I had to do that I thought 3 more months of delays.I wish I realized it earlier .I might be closer to getting this done I sure hope this is the last hoop to go through.I wonder if I loose to much weight if they can turn me down.

yeah i know what u mean I thought I was all set now I find I have to have 3 months worth of doctors visits talking about my weight be for the insurance company will cover it I have lost 25 pounds waiting for this band I am about ready to lose it, healthy1

congrads I wish it was me I just found out I need 3 months in a row with my doctor talking about my weight loss before the insurance will cover it. healthy1

hello , from Florida here and go for my last mandatory meeting to start my pre op diet Tuesday but waiting also for the doctors recomandation for the insurance and then hope to get my date for op. healthy1

Hi Katie, I am afraid I will have the same problem with my doctor too.It took me 3 weeks just to get him to sign for a free flue shot from work.I more then likely will have to make an appointment to get it done.

yeah it does seem like its taking long here who knows how long it will take for my doctor to get his note to my baratric doctor.I wish you luck on wednesday where you getting it done i know alot of people go out of the country to get it done

Hi Katiepie , Haven't had it yet I have one more mandatory meeting with the dietian and now I need a letter from my doctor explaining my excerise with him for the last 4 months I didn't talk about excerising with my doctor for the last 4 months.I did tell my boss today didn't go over as bad as I thought it would now I have to apply for fmla papers.I'll be so glad when as this stuff is done did you have to go through this for the insurance? healthy1:wink:

Thanks now I am not the only one who wants to hide it now if I can just hide the puree I have to eat a few weeks after surgury I will be doing fine.

I haven't talked much about my surguery much just to close friends that will know i am getting it done my problem is work I am afraid to tell my boss or any of my coe workers afraid they will talk behind my back or say I don't really need it I can do it myself don't think they would understand.Haven't figured it out yet about how I am going to ask for time off at work yet its really bothering me.
