  8. I think my family helped the indians move in...... :youcandothis: lisa
  9. Hi Kacee. Northeast Texas here. Maybe we just like to socialize more than other folks. You know how Texans are. Glad to meet ya! Good luck on your upcoming surgery. lisa
  10. Sorry LL, I haven't heard of her. My advice is to just be careful about choosing a doctor to do your fills. Is she trained by Inamed? How many band procedures has she done? How long has she been certified? These are questions that I would ask her. The physician who does the fills is just as important as the one that placed the band. And I'm not being rude when I say this cause if I didn't have insurance, I woud be in your boat too, but I would be a little leary of charges so cheap. Make an appointment with her and discuss the procedure with her and then make a decision. Sorry, if I wasn't much help. lisa
  11. Yeah, but I thought we were gonna get struck by lightnin. We didn't get any hail either, but it sure did rain. I'm just glad that one is over with. lisa
  12. Well, it's helped some. Maybe, it will kick in and work better soon. This is another "bad weather" day, so I won't be on much today. Have a good day after Sunday. lisa
  13. Hi Gloria. First of all, don't stress over your fill. I was very nervous about my first fill also. But it was all for nothing. I have two surgeons taking care of me. They are married and work as a team. She did my first and second fill. Some doctors prefer to numb the area above the port, some don't. I got my third fill this past monday. He doesn't numb the area. My preference is not to numb it first. the medication that is used to numb the area stings. Plus you are getting stuck twice. (but just once into the port) It's not any worse than getting stuck in the arm for a shot. just in a different spot. That's just my opinion. And one other thing. If you stress about it, your skin will tighten and will make it hurt worse than if you try to stay relaxed. Try not to worry bout it, it will be ok. lisa
  14. Well....they are back.(pounds) Man, I can't win for loosing. Or I can't lose. This is getting more than a little agravating!!! Maybe, I need to change my diet up some. I don't know. Anyway, have a good day Susan. Watch out for those 'chompers'. lol lisa
  15. so far, so good. I can tell I have restriction but I'm not sure how much, since this is my first day of regular food, I will know more soon. And the two pounds that I had gained before I went on that day after Sunday is gone today, PLUS one. Cool, huh? lisa
  16. 37 pounds!!!! Cool. You go, Susan. I hope I can move my ticker soon. I am tired of looking at it. Gotta git, Tanner is out of school today. It's one of those "bad weather" days. lol lisa
  17. Susan, hope your monday goes ok. I am going to Texarkana. I hope I can get a good fill. I need one. How are you on your fill now? restriction? Right now, I don't think I would care if I had to drink everything, if I had good restriction. I know, I know, that ain't right, but..... have a good day, k? see ya later. lisa
  18. Maybe, but I think I need a shot in the port to help. lol Hey, this is friday... cool! that means, two more days until the day after Sunday. lol lisa
  19. Yep, it's funny how different docs have different requirements for the same thing. I saw on another site where someone was only 2 weeks out and was asking about being stuck on a piece of chicken. I was kinda shocked that she was asking about it at 2 weeks. lisa
  20. :omg: You have to be on a liquid pre-fill diet?? Man, I would cave in if I had to do a liquid diet before a fill. We do a 24 hour after the fill liquid diet. lisa
  21. Shut UP!!!! Don't say that too loud. I did and my scales quit working or went on strike! lol I don't know bout the lawn mower. I pushed it in a corner and walked off and left it. I was mad enough to bite a nail in two!!! So, if it's fatal, I don't really care. Walmarts has new ones. lol And YES! you are right, I can't wait until this particular monday. I need a fill bad. I just can't lose anything, not matter what I try. I decidedI wasn't getting enough protein, so I got powder to mix with stuff. I promise you, after I drink that stuff, I am so hungry, I could eat a double cheese burger from Randy's! So, I quit using that stuff after about 2 times. Be good today. Talk to you later, k? ljg
  22. Hey Susan.... are you thru with your mondays this week? Man, my monday was not one of my better days. I was ready to quit at the end of the day. Just STUFF happened. Tore up my push mower among other things. Yesterday was not much better. Hope your week is going better than mine! lol Hey DWilson, you there? How's it going for you? lisa
  23. Hi D! Welcome aboard. I have had my second fill. (March 19th) I must say that it helped a little. I can tell I have some restriction, but not the kind that I need. I'm still getting hungry and I haven't lost much since the 19th. My first fill was 1.7cc, the second was .5cc. You are welcome to join us on this thread anytime. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Our support group meetings are on the third monday of the month at the hospital in Mt. Pleasant. You would be welcome to come and bring your friends. We have a really good group there. There are a lot of us that use the same Dr's and post on the Texarkana thread as well, so you might get more opinions there if that's what you are looking for. lol Anyway, welcome and if you have any questions, ask lisa
  24. Morning Yall! How's everyone this morning? lisa
  25. there's nothing worse than a "two" monday week!! Hope the second monday is better than the first. lisa
