  1. hi! my name is Doreen and I recieved my lap-band on mar. 3rd, 2010! On Feb. 11th, 2010 during a pre-opt appointment I weighed 285lbs, day of surgery I was 278lbs, today I weigh 261lbs!! I think thats Awesome! but the good doctor says that is NOT the norm for lap-band patients and to expect weight-loss to slow down to 1-2lbs a week?! Awwww that SUX! I so wish I will keep up this stellar loss rate! but I know as I increase 'solids' I may slow down BUT by that time I will be increasing exercise in the next week or two SO I think I should lose accordingly! we will see... so far right now as it stands I have had no problems following the 'liquid diet' and have added soft foods easily... well congrats n good luck! (now if I could just figure how to ADD the 'Weight-Ticker' calculator thingy to my profile/posts!?! lol :-)
