  1. I wondered about that.... I was thinking maybe its just extra weight there. Its just no funto wear shirts with scoop back
  2. So..... I have a little hump back. Its not huge, just a kind of "bump" where my spine joins with the bottom of my neck. I always thought I was just stuck with this but then I saw some show on TV where this girls was talking about all the plastics she had done and she said she had "part of her back shaved" Is there a procedure that can fix this???? Stacey
  3. Christie.... Your gonna do great and yes.... you will absolutly wake up "not hungery". I see your in Denver, I'm just down in the springs!!!!! good luck tomorrow and let us know how your feeling when you can Stacey
  4. Hey guys... just saw this thread. Your probably both sleeved by now!!!!! Congrats and let us know how your doing. Best wishes sent your way Stacey
  5. I'm really very curious about this. I am currently in the middle of the most frustrating stall. I have heard that keeping calories high occasionally helps with this but just people talking.... no research. Please keep us informed. I tried to up my calories one day to see if I could break the stall but I just couldn't get enough in my sleeve.
  6. You are so right. I never could have lost 13 lbs in 4 weeks pre-sleeve. If I can loose 13 next month I will be doing great. Its the need for instant gratification that got me here in the first place!!!!! Thanks for the encouragement Stacey
  7. Dr Jose Rodriguez at INT transplant hospital in Tijuana. $6700.00. I was very happy with my care.
  8. Thats so great Angie. It feels good to know its finally gonna happen doesn't it. Tea sipper here (UT, Austin) Stacey
  9. Hello TinyTummy..... thanks for posting. I'm so sorry to hear about your ordeal. I can't imagine what you must have been through. I guess it was probably a blessing to be unconscious for a lot of it. I'm very glad to hear you seem to be on the mend. Please keep us posted!!!!!
  10. Against my better judgement I took an all natural metabolism booster this morning called fucothin. Its stimulant free and very mild... but still.... I had surgery to quit all this kinda #%$!. I really feel stupid for even complaining because I told myself that I was most likely going to hit a stall, and that I should be prepared.....it's really common, body adjusting to weight loss..... etc etc. Its weird how we can know something to be true logically but it just wont sink in :scared0:
  11. Hey Katrina.... I'm 4 weeks out today. I lost 13lbs in the first 10 days and not an ounce since. I'm super frustrated too. Exercising, getting my Water, my protien, low carb count. I don't know...... I'm just trying to ride it out but I'm scared I'll never loose the weight. I know it will get better.... its just hard not to buy into the years of diet failure that are following us around. Probably not a helpful post.... but I figured I'd vent a bit I hope we get going soon!!!! Stacey
  12. Okay.... This stall is KILLING me. Can I ask.... did you stall out in the first month after surgery and if so how long did it last?
  13. I was hiking mountain trails... maybe 3 miles by day 6. I had to wear an ab binder though because I was still pretty sore and swolen and the movement was painful. I was moving slow but it was nice to get out. I started doing light cardio around day 8. I would like to start with some weights but my post op instructions say nothing but walking and very light cardio until 6 weeks post op. Hope that helps with the planning. Oh.... and..... welcome to the board Stacey
  14. I have just taken the generic safeway brand of stool softner.... its a pretty small pill
  15. I went 12 days!!!! Yep, your read correctly. It finally took MOM to get things moving. Now I'm doing okay, evry couple of days as long as I take a stool softner. If you use a laxative its best not to use a stimulant right at first. MOM is a non-stimulant laxative. Does anyone know.... are stool softners habit froming like laxatives?
  16. I'm shooting for an 8... I have never ever been an 8... Isn't it fun to fantasize about where we will be this time next year
  17. Shifting our identity is no easy feat!!! It happens moving both ways on the scale. I know that when I was gaining weight I was quite large before it dawned on me that I was a fat chic now. My self image was still a of a thin person even though my clothing size and my reflection were clearly saying I was no longer thin. It takes time for our brain to catch up sometimes.
  18. Oh yea pam... I guess I sould have mentioned that I'm a pear. That probably makes a difference
  19. YEA!!!! You can certainly do it!!!!
  20. I'd say upper 70's..... of course... all cloths hang a bit better if we're exercising
  21. I'm at 178 right now and in a loose 14 but a 12 is a little obscene.
  22. When I say a pant size I am meaning 16 or 14 or 12..... I don't count the inbetweens. So at 200 I was an 16 at 185 a 14 and at 170 a 12 (kinda tight but I could do it)
  23. I am 5'7'' and I have found that I go down a size at around 15 lbs. Now... that may change. If I weighed 140 and lost 15lbs it might be more than a size. Its the 15lbs from 200 to 185 and then 185 to 170. Its probably pretty consistant.... I've never gotten below 170 so hopefully we'll see. good luck stacey
  24. I was really swollen after surgery. The pants I wore to the hospital were TOO SMALL to wear home. My belly was hard and "pregnant" for about 10 days. I felt great... just swollen. I hope it gets better soon stacey
  25. I haven't lost an ounce in 12 days. I know... I know.... Water weight, body in conservations mode, trying to adjust to the shock..... etc... etc.... but its still frustrating!!!!! We'll get there guys Stacey
