Day 9 and 11.6 pounds down!!!!

Well, I said I was not going to weigh myself until I returned to work on Monday the 24th of May. I was getting cabin fever and needed to just come in to the office and get some things done so I came in and of course the scale in our gym was taunting me so I went and weighed myself, reluctantly because my size 14 work pants do not feel much different today as they did about 2 weeks ago when I wore them pre-op.

Was not expecting to see the numbers on the scale this morning at all!!! Wow! So I know it will slow down and I need to continue to remind myself of that but dang, what a wonderful start to my journey.

I am proud of myself, raising three kids on my own and having to cook every meal for them while I do not even lick a finger is tough but this confirms for me that I am doing the right thing and this is all well worth it!

WHOOP!!!! (hey I am a Texas Aggie, gotta give a Whoop!!!)

Thanks for all of the support and encouragement I have found here. VST is my new addiction...:thumbup1:

Thanks everyone! Well, the carbs are really scaring me. Dr A says 60 grams of carbs a day. I am not sure how to get all the calories in without going over carbs. Today was a very full day, hard to get enough protein without cars unless I drink all protein shakes with low carbs and nothing else.

Hard to get excited about all of things things I can eat when eating all of these things will put me way over on carbs!!!

I had mine on May 4 so we began a new phase together! I have lost 22 lbs so far and everything is going quit well. I began mountain biking last Saturday!

It's kind of an eye-opener, eh?

I was in the same boat when I discovered I was only supposed to be eating 600-800 calories per day after the sleeve (honestly, I don't feel almost any restriction on mushy/slushy foods, so I could have done 1200-1400 calories per day, easy!)

Now I'm eating about 800 cals/day, and as long as I choose protein-dense foods over other stuff, my carbs stay right around 60. This works out okay as I've mostly been craving meaty, salty, savory stuff -- not sweets or bready stuff.
