Unfill same as no band?
Thanks; wouldn't call it luck though. Willpower and working my ass off? Yep.

I keep getting stuck! Help!
If he doesn't give you an unfill then you need to find another doctor. Excessive PBing and vomitting can ruin your esphagus; really nothing to play around with. Get an unfill ASAP and give yourself time to rest. You may also want to ask for an upper GI to make sure your band is still in its proper place.

I keep getting stuck! Help!
Did you get a full unfill? If not, request one. I bet your stoma and pouch could use some time to heal. Also, are you taking small bites and really chewing? It makes a difference though I will admit eating slower and taking smaller bites has been the hardest learning curve for me.

Still not Hungry
This!! Enjoy it. PS you're moving along quick!!! Good job

Where'd it go?
Congrats! Great NSV.

How big are your bites?
I wish I knew. I've been taking way too big of bites/not chewing because I'm in such a rush. @ getting stuck without a fill. Can only imagine what it's like with one.

3 Weeks Post OP and STARVING
Eat more protein. Drink more water.
-
chew it up
I did early on, now I just eat it. Lol.

4 meals today?
I eat 6 times a day. The amount of meals you eat really plays little to no role in weightloss. I say eat when you're hungry, more so eat before you get hungry, this way you aren't scarfing down your food. I eat every 2-3 hours and plan to eat 6 times a day. Only day I don't is on Saturdays and Sundays when I usually only eat 4-5 times a day. I say do what's best for you. Meal timing/amount is truly irrelevant.

Low Carb, High Protein Diet
I did high protein/low carbs for the first 6-7 months of my journey. It worked flawlessly, as that's when I lost most of my weight. I focused on at least 4oz Protein each meal and did no lower than 90g a day. My carbs were 50g and below I believe. I don't stick to it anymore simply because I see no reason to. I count my calories, nothing else, though I do make sure my protein is always high (120g+) and I still focus on my carbs sometimes, usually staying under 120g a day.

Lose Faster by Drinking Water?
Drinking Water =/= weightloss. If anything it helps keep you hydrated, which decreases the amount of water weight you'll hold but for true weightloss? 0, in my books. But do focus on getting your water! I do a gallon+ a day.

Does this Sound Right?
i eat a cup of food, sometimes a bit more in a sitting and I'm full for a good 3-4 hours, if not longer, but I prefer to eat every 3-4 hours before I start to get overly hungry, because then I ravage my food like a starving dog. Learned my lesson from that yesterday LOL! Also, hope you enjoyed your chicken strips and fries. There's nothing wrong with them All foods are healthy in my book. Fit them within your caloric needs and enjoy. Your body doesn't know a calorie from an apple opposed to a calorie from a french fry.

PB2 Sale
Netrition is better; quicker/faster/less expensive shipping.

no restricrion
I can eat anything and everything, which I LOVE! Couldn't imagine not being able to eat something because I want/need to lose weight. It's all about moderation not completely ridding of any type of food. I will say that I have gotten stuck and PB'd, but it's usually due to me eating too fast/not chewing/using the fork as a spoon (oops!)

How much do you exercise?
Everyday; 3 weight lifting days, 3 cardio days, Sunday = light day; ie. walking/stretching.

Got appppproved and date SO EXCITED!
Congrats on your date! My pre-op diet was for 2 weeks; I think. It's been forever it seems! If you're interested you may want to just call his office and ask. Usually a week to two weeks is the average length. My advice: relax! Don't suffer from "last meal syndrome." The band is not supposed to keep you from eating the food you like/enjoy; Just keep that in mind. Otherwise buy some Gas-X strips for post surgery. Maybe put together a little shopping list of foods you'll want to have post-op (Soups, broths, Jello, yogurt, SF popsicles, etc) Good luck!

puffy port
Give it a few weeks; it'll all settle down once you really begin to heal.

Gall Stones After LapBand?
Mine did it but I wasn't put on Actigal; I think mine was called Ursodiol; I had nothing wrong with my gallbladder pre-op but when you lose a lot of weight quickly, gallstones are very common and often times people have to go in for a second surgery to have their gallbladders removed. Not all doctors do it but I am glad mine does! I've seen a lot of WLS patients need to have their gallbladders taken out due to rapid weightloss. I was only on Ursodiol for about 3 months; It gave me an allergic reaction later on down the road and my doctor said to not take it anymore; I was past the "danger-window" of contracting gallstones either way. So, be happy you're on something One less thing to worry about.

ABS - 6 PACK???
Go for it. Been working mine out since 3 months or so post-op. You may get some tenderness around the port for a little while but it goes away.

Your Goal
Congrats! My original goal was 120lbs; it's now 125lbs simply because I'm already in size 2s and I'm not sure 120lbs is healthy for me, but time will tell.

Morning band tightness
Very normal; I've never had a fill and it happens to me! Try drinking hot tea or coffee to loosen it up; works like a charm.
