puffy port

I was banded on the 11th. Everything is going great but I am curious about my port area. When I look down, that area is distorted and sticks out alot further than the other side of my stomach. Is this just due to swelling? Will it go down with time? I just hope this isn't going to remain like this forever!

Mine did that too. It should go down with time. Congratulations!

I was banded on 4-5-11 and while still a little bit puffy, it does seem to be getting less so. I do have rash where there was the adhesive and boy does that make me crazy!

Mine was a little puffy after surgery but now it's ok.

Give it a few weeks; it'll all settle down once you really begin to heal.

Mine is puffy too - I asked my surgeon about it yesterday during my follow up. He said it's normal and it takes a while for that area to reduce in swelling. We'll get there!

I had my surgery on 4-12 and my stomach is also puffy where the port is, in fact I can not even feel the port. I guess this to shall pass. Congratulations on your new journey.

i was banded on the 12th and i look like i'm 6 months pregnant. that has been my only issue. my pain is manageable without meds. i did take some tylenol this morning but nothing since then.
