Is your band working for you?
Yep I've had amazing success; wouldn't trade it for the world really, except for those mornings where I'm tighter than normal, but that's usually my own fault as I'm still learning to slow down. Can't say I've done anything to special. Did low carb for the first 6-7 months, now I am eating normally, no low carb low fat low anything. I exercise my butt off, eat what I want within my calorie level and yeah. Have 11lbs to go. Find what works for you weight-loss wise. When you start following your "plan' I think you'll see results. Also, have you gotten a fill? You say you feel like the band isn't even in you. Maybe you need a fill to slowly reach restriction. Good luck and know you have plenty of support here!

Not Happy!
No one can loan you money? There is no local doctor that can help you? Find a way to save up. Eating Soups isn't healthy for your body; forget the weight-loss part. There's no way you're getting nutrients in with just soup. If you can't find a doctor to give you an unfill, maybe go to the ER as recommended above and get a complete unfill. I still remember you mentioning you have the 4cc band and from what I've read that band is no longer used, except in Mexico. Maybe that is part of the reason why you're struggling as it's not you it's the band itself. I'd try to get an unfill ASAP. Keep your head up but don't let yourself suffer any more. Good luck!

Feeling the port??
Probably your port. Mine is clear as day now, especially when I lay down. I'd love to have it taken out or at least moved elsewhere. Sleep well; nothing to worry about at all

I need your help!
You may just need a small unfill; something like .2cc or so. A small unfill will let you keep your restriction but will help with being too tight. I'd say with your period + fill you're a bit too tight. If yogurt doesn't stay down that's a big sign, at least to me. Good luck; keep us updated and try to drink some water. Dehydration is not safe.

Post op eating
What are you eating that isn't staying down? You may still be swollen from surgery. Make sure you're taking small bites, and take time in between them. I'd give it a few days but if things still aren't staying down maybe go back to liquids (warm preferably) and call your doctor.

Ugh!
Tomorrow is a new day. Pick yourself back up and move on One bad day isn't going to kill your journey. Good luck!

Why......
Be patient..just because you're losing weight doesn't mean the fat is going to immediately diminish from your stomach area. Fat loss occurs wherever it wants. My stomach has been the last to go and I'm wearing size 2s down from size 20s. You'll get there. Be proud that you're wearing much smaller clothes already!
-
Still fill big?
I'm wearing 2s, down from 20s and I definitely still feel fat. It's crazy and definitely a mind game.
-
Best time to start exercising
Ask your doctor. I had to wait 6 weeks; up until then I just walked/did a little jogging.
-
Post op liquid diet - can you lose too much?
You'll be fine. If anything you're dropping Water weight and Fluid weight from surgery; not a "true" weight-loss per say.
-
How do you get enough fiber?
Broccoli. My protein bread/protein bars have high fiber in them. Beans and Nature's Path cereal. I aim for no less than 25g a day.
-
energy loss from lower intake?
It may be harder in the beginning but I did fine at about 800-1000 calories. I did beachbody programs though when I got into more strenuous exercises I upped my calories. I'm eating 1700 nowadays. Having the band doesn't mean you have to be eating a low-calorie diet forever.

A Bad food day
Ahh I had one of these last Sunday; popcorn, a few chips, and a dark chocolate PB egg. I did feel guilty however; still working on that.

I feel i can never get full
You're a week out, what exactly are you expecting? Once you start to get fills and get closer to restriction it gets easier, but for now it's really up to you to use willpower/common sense to get through it. I'd advise you to stay off the scale for another few weeks as losing is not the most important thing right now. Focus on your post-op diet; get your Protein and Water in and allow yourself to heal. The more you stress over things the harder it is for your body to heal properly. Take a breath and realize your journey literally just started. You can't expect much off the bat. It'll get better; right now it's a waiting game. Good luck!

what medicines for loss of hair
Not really, nope. It's all part of the cycle. Once your hair is falling out it's falling out, but it's also growing back. I was eating a good 100g+ Protein when mine was falling out and it didn't help. Just have to wait it out.

Share ideas, What did you eat today ?
Untrue; all food has some sort of nutritional value It depends on the kind of rice, pasta, and bread you're eating. I eat brown rice and whole wheat pasta. They are great sources of fiber and whole grains. The bread I eat is full of omega 3s, whole grains, and 14g of protein per slice.

It depends on your restriction level. Some people can tolerate it, some can't. I hadn't eaten rice, bread, or pasta for the first 6-7 months. Now I do.

Cake in soft foods phase?
Probably..but not sure why you'd want it. I mean I'm all for eating what you want but cake so early out? Eh..

Banded on Tuesday!
Congrats! Rest, get your Protein and Water in and focus on healing!

Hmm...can somebody verify something for me?
Oh my. No wonder so many people are misinformed. Gotta love misinformed health "professionals." 1. False. This is usually geared more towards those undergoing gastric bypass. 2. False. You may feel some tightness, maybe PB, but no nothing will rip. The band is sutured to your stomach and then part of the stomach is sort of sutured around the band itself so it's enclosed.

Need opinions
Why not one of those edible arrangement things?

A little freaked out...
Normal. Surgery and weight-loss are huge interruptions to your normal cycle.
