  1. Happy 48th Birthday inadaze!

  2. Thanks for checking in on me. :) I'm doing well - feeling pretty good now. It's amazing, it was like when I hit the week mark, my body healed all of the sudden.

Don't be nervous! It will be great and pretty soon you'll be banded and starting your new life!

  3. Hello,I just wanted to check on your progress and see how all is going. My 1st surgeon appt. is today and Im nervous, you know the feeling, drop me a line and let me know how you are doing..

  4. thanks for the info..I had posted a few questions on here before but no one answered,I guess we are all looking for answers.I see your starting weight is 279,mine is 282,we are pretty much running the same race,I hope to have mine in a couple of months,I will keep up with how you are doing, don't forget to get up and walk around as much as possible because of blood clots,Im sure with kids you are not getting to lay around much anyway..Take Care:smile2:
  5. Glad to hear all went well, and geeze talk about quick, hope you have some help with the kiddies.I am in the early stages still,I have been to the seminar and for a office consultation and to have a bunch of bloodwork done,I see the surgeon on the 31st for the first time to make sure I meet the criteria. My question is,how long were you in the process from your seminar to your band date?I have insurance BCBS and I do not think there is a waiting period like some I have read about on here.Take care and keep us posted.......

    New in Town

Hi,I'm suppose to see the surgeon this week,I've already had the bloodwork and first appt.and can't see the psych until after the surgeon appt. The time of surgery from the first visit varies, from what I have read on here,it's the type of insurance you have, some require a 3 mo.waiting period, some take their sweet time with giving approval, and self pay pretty quick.I have BCBS and thats what my Dr is waiting on,final approval, everything is sent in,so now I'm just waiting. From what I gather the norm is 3-6 mos,I know the Dr I am seeing requires a 3 week diet prior to surgery also,it's a long drawn out process, but I think the rewards will be worth it.Good Luck and keep us posted,we may be getting banded around the same time,we can compare notes....

    blood tests

Thanks for the replies,I finally called back and asked, they told me what they needed to see did not require fasting.I am new at this and still have LOTS to learn,so you probably will see me on here with more questions.Hopefully I will get the results soon,I am not good a waiting but from what I have read on here,I better get use to it.:frown:

    blood tests

Today I went for my first appt.to get everything started and was sent for bloodwork,it was the afternoon and I had already had breakfast and lunch and always before I have had to fast for atleast 12 hours before bloodwork, has anyone else had tests in late afternoon or were you asked to fast?I just hate to have to go through all that again, not to mention the cost..... THANKS
  9. Hang in there,I know I will be in your shoes before long,I have appt.today and hope to be getting things started.Keep us up to date,we will be thinking of you..........
