Hi,I'm suppose to see the surgeon this week,I've already had the bloodwork and first appt.and can't see the psych until after the surgeon appt. The time of surgery from the first visit varies, from what I have read on here,it's the type of insurance you have, some require a 3 mo.waiting period, some take their sweet time with giving approval, and self pay pretty quick.I have BCBS and thats what my Dr is waiting on,final approval, everything is sent in,so now I'm just waiting. From what I gather the norm is 3-6 mos,I know the Dr I am seeing requires a 3 week diet prior to surgery also,it's a long drawn out process, but I think the rewards will be worth it.Good Luck and keep us posted,we may be getting banded around the same time,we can compare notes....
