  1. I didn't get a chance to see the pics it looks like they have been removed/deleted. Is there anywhere else I can view the pics? I myself will need a tummy tuck in the future and so I'm curious to see your transformation
  2. Amen Kee! Rebuke them demons and send them packing back to Queens!
  3. I totally understand the husband thing. I've been contemplating Bariatric surgery for about 6 years now and all this time I've been working on my husband to come around. This year I made up my mind and decided that with or without his support I was going to do this for me! When I presented him with this I also confirmed the fact that heart disease also runs in my family, diabetes etc... and since I had been depressed for a while I also asked him what would he rather? - A healthier, happier wife or an overweight depressed wife with all sorts of health complications? That brought it home and I was grateful that he finally realized that it's not about me wanting to fit into "The little Black Dress" it's me wanting to have a healthy, happy and good quality of life! P.S. In the long run if I happen to fit into that little black dress well, guess who will be all gaga about that??????:eyebrows: Enough said!
  4. My surgery is scheduled for 10/9. My starting weight was 270 BMI 51. I'm now 263 not sure of BMI and hoping I can lose another few lbs b4 surgery!! Very nervous about that.
  5. Thanks so much! As surgery grows closer I find myself getting a bit anxious and wanting to snack the anxiety away. This is one of my challenges pre and post op. I've been sort of talking myself out of it and made it through today. Any suggestions???
  6. Thanks to all of you for sharing. Like Sugarplum said I'm doing this for me not for them and I have to live with my own decision. I feel this is what's best for me and I'm going for it!
  7. Hi everyone! I am new to the site and was having some issues getting around but I think I figured this out. I live in Maricopa and I'm scheduled for surgery on 10/9 with Dr. Blackstone in Scottsdale
  8. As surgery day gets closer the few people that know are really insistant that I go for bypass because "you'll lose so much more weight" they tell me. I feel as if they don't respect my decision and from what I understand in the long run both end up with about the same weight loss results. Can anyone shed some light on this for me???
  9. I'm in AZ too girl and Scottsdale Bariatric is a great source of information. You can go on their website or you can attend information seminars.
  10. Hi there everyone! I'm anxiously awaiting surgery. Dr. Robin Blackstone of Scottsdale Healthcare is great and she will perform my surgery.
