  1. Thanks for your good thoughts and prayers. I have an appointment on Wed. in SF with a surgeon. I am still being referred to the transplant team but it looks like the plan is to cut out part of the liver with the tumors. Right now, I'm on pureed foods, which often go down like cement! My liver specialist doesn't want me losing more than 3 pounds a week because it's hard on the liver, making this whole process a little more stressful! Other than that, my recovery has gone very well. Karen
  2. Hi Everyone, I had the sleeve surgery on Oct. 20. During the surgery, Dr. Baggs saw a nodule on my liver and biopsied. it. It came back cirrhosis. Then, a few days later, I learned I had liver cancer. As a light drinker, this was shocking. My liver specialist told me that being overweight is as bad for the liver as being a heavy drinker. Hopefully, early detection will save my life. I won't know more until my CAT scan results for Monday's tests are back. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers, Karen
  3. I went to Orientation last January and took forever to lose the weight. It sounds like you are doing fine but I was disappointed to hear how far out they are scheduling teh surgery. Karen
  4. The sleeve and I finally have a date: October 20. I was disappointed the date is so far out so let's hope they can get me in sooner!
  5. I'll be at the meeting and at lunch.
  6. What is the 48 hour diet?
  7. Are there still support meetings for Bandsters at Point West in Sacramento?
