    Throwing Up Black Watery

I was throwing up some nasty black looking liquid... I was in the emergency room for throwing up so much ... Come to find out it was galls tones... After the ultrasound to diagnose it and after all the pressing and moving of the gall bladder the guy did i threw up TONS of black nasty looking mess... the dr told me it was bile... then I had to have my gallbladder removed a week later :/ This was all in the past 3 weeks... I go for my 2 week post op this thursday
  4. I will say I feel TONS better after the surgery... no reflux medicine any more!!! Woohoo!!! I know he will only put probably 50% back in ughhhh Stupid gall bladder... LOL
  5. I go thursday for my fill! THANK GOODNESS!!!! whew... I have gone up a bit ughhh but i know i lost quite a bit from not eatting or drinking anything for 3-4 days (it was like 10 pounds in 4 days! so i knew that it wouldnt stay off once i started eating again) and plus he had me on a diet of mashed potatoes as not to upset anything ... which carbs carbs carbs ugh lol and chicken noodle soup and crackers... carbs carbs carbs ! haha He told me not to worry about losing weight during this time but dang... im still dissapointed at myself! but hopefully after thursday i can pick up my usual routine and get my bottom to the gym again!!!
  6. To me it was similar ... I believe I was up and about a little faster with the band... The pain wasnt much different... There was just this strong pulling feeling inside where the gall bladder was and it made it hard for me to sit up or get out a chair alone for the first day or two... but it wasnt unbearable! Not the best but not too bad

    Banded Yesterday, Honeymoon phase?

I had my gall bladder out this past week and I tell you banding was 10 times better..... The gall bladder surgery sucked and I felt worse with it than the band! Good luck to you!

    Do I have a gallstone/bladder?

I just had gall bladder surgery tuesday and it started with bad pains in my side... Being that you were just banded I would say it is probably still gas from surgery... I remember after surgery i felt very store dull pain in my side.... Even after this surgery i have the same dull pain feeling in my side so I am sure it is the gas. I think you will be find because i knew something was wrong it just wasnt my side that was hurting with my gall bladder... I had tons of throwing up and heart burn.... But i would call your dr if you are worried

    Gallstone attack with the Lapband??

I agree if you are having pain dont wait!!! I actually (about 2 weeks ago) was having a dull pain in my right side and it went to my shoulder... Then i started throwing up and couldnt keep anything down! My lap band dr was in surgery so they sent me to the er and BAM did an ultra sound and I had gall stones... Needless to say I just had my gall bladder remove this past Tuesday and he said it was very infected and inflamed... He did take all of the fluid out of my band to give me time to heal... So no I dont have ANY restriction  which sucks!.....I wish they had taken it out at the time of surgery... The anesthesiologist told me while he was discussing putting me to sleep that lap band and gall bladder issues seem to go hand in hand. I wont have any fluid put back in the band till June 2nd when I go for my 2 week post op appointment... He said being over weight and then loosing a lot of weight can really contribute to the gall stones....
  10. When the gall bladder started having its attack i threw up so much my stomach was so swollen and i couldnt even take a sip of water... I was hoping he would take "some" of my fill out.... surely wasnt expecting him to take it all out!! I was lucky he gave me some stuff in my iv before they took it out for nauseousness... so I didnt get sick at all! (Thank goodness since i was sick all last week!) It makes me very thankful for restriction and my band! If I can just hang on!! I'm ready to go back to work as soon as I can... I always eat better when I am there because I can only eat what I bring! Being at home makes it worse LOL
  11. Well I finally had my gall bladder surgery yesterday! I'm doing great very sore but I'm ok! I'm kinda depressed.... He removed all the Fluid from my band last week to give my stomach time to heal from all the throwing up i was having from the gall bladder.... So now my band is empty.... I was FINALLY at my green zone!! and I had just came off a plateau and was loosing 1-2 pounds a week... Now my weight has gone up a few pounds UGH!! I feel like I am hungry all the time... I am soooo not use to being hungry! I cant even remember the last time my stomach growled until now.... I am scared of gaining weight back... and i hate that my restriction is gone.... He said he was not putting any fluid until i had time to heal... He also told me not to worry about weight loss right now just healing... I had finally gotten under 200 pounds and i WILL NOT go back over!! I will not get a fill until my 2 week post op on June 2nd... and he will only put back in half of the fluid he took out... Im so frustrated... I have worked so hard and I try to continue to eat my small portions but they just do not fill me up now!! I know I need to heal but i want to lose weight too :( Thanks for letting me vent... i needed to get that off my chest!!! I know all of you in band land will understand

    Shoe Size

I started out a 9.5 and recently bought 7.5's I can finally get some cute shoes now! I never would have thought thats where I would loose weight!!!
  13. You will be fine!!! I only was sore for probably the first 3 days.. Had surgery on Monday back to work on the next monday (and could have probably went back a little sooner) I throw up occasionally but its usually my fault if I do (i either dont chew enough take to big of bite or eat to fast) its just a learning process. If your friend is constantly throwing up she is probably too tight and needs an unfill... I was throwing up everything once and they took out a little bit of my fill and I was back to normal! I wouldnt change ANYTHING !!!! I had my surgery done June 21 2010 and i am almost 11 months post op and have lost 75 pounds... I feel great!!! Once again you will be fine and enjoy the new you!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. My Dr. has a fill schedule... I had 1cc put in at time of surgery... first fill was 2cc then the next 3 fills were 1cc then he goes down to .5 cc unless like me i got to tight within that range so now I get filled at .25 each time
  15. Thanks! I will be glad when this is a distant memory!!! I have since learned my grandmother and ALL her sisters had their gallbladders removed between the ages of 23-26 I'm 24 so I guess I fit right in with my family! They all told me once it was removed they have never had any more troubles! I cant wait for this thing to be GONE!!!
