Well at least I know I'm not alone. I worry about the same thing. I know it may seem petty to some but I'm always so thirsty. But I would do anything to lose this weight so I figure I'll make it work.

Do they let you wear your panties for surgery or do you have to take them off? I'm asking b/c I have this horrible bleeding problem. I had uterine ablation in May but I guess it didn't work. If it doesn't stop by mid August then my Ob/Gyn wants to remove my uterus. I know I shouldn't even worry about this b/c they are medical professionals and have seen it all but I don't want to make a big mess somewhere.

I'm jealous. LOL I'm on day 3 of the liquid pre op diet. I can't wait to have more food choices again.

That's on my diet list but my Wal Mart doesn't have it. So far the best thing I've tried is the Syntrax Nectar. It's really, really good and doesn't have the icky protein flavor or smell to it. I could definitely live on it with no problems.

Also some times they will put a Scopalomine Patch behind your ear before surgery. It keeps you from having nausea and vomiting but it also will cause blurry vision and you just have to wait for it to clear up on it's own.

I was told my hair would fall out without the protein supplements. I was told I must get 60 grams of protein a day every single day.

I feel your pain. I'm on day 3 and I'm dying for some real food. The shakes aren't awful but I want some steak or something.

With my insurance as long as your hospital and doctor are in network they will pay the anesthesiologist rather he's in network or not. They will pay him whatever he bills.

They actually came pretty quickly too! As soon as I opened them I thought they'd be different because they actually smelled really sweet and good even in the box:) I'm glad I found them! They are great!

Wow that really was fast. Maybe it was denied b/c there was some paperwork missing and not due to your weight.

Congrats on your approval. I also wonder what I will look like once I lose the weight but no matter how I like I know I will feel 100% better and finally be healthy again so I'm focusing on that.

I started yesterday. So I think I've wasted $50 on Un Jury protein:( I ordered a sampler of Syntrax nectar packets and it actually tastes good. That Un Jury tasted off/funny. I have 3 shakes a day, sugar free Jello and some sodium free chicken broth. I've had lots of Water. I can have 3 servings of skim milk, plain yogurt or cottage cheese a day. I don't like yogurt or cottage cheese though and my surgeon wants me down 15 pounds in the next 10 days so I'm thinking I'd better stay away from the milk because the carbs would add up.

That gives me something to look forward to! I'm on day 2. I'm hungry and I have no energy. I'm a stay at home mom with 3 kids ages 4 months, 3 years and 9 years. I'm miserable right now:( I can't keep up with them at all but I know it's only temporary.

I bought $50 dollars worth of Un Jury yesterday at my doc's office. Then when I got home my nectar samples were here. The Nectar is 100% better than the Un Jury. Now I'm wanting to throw out the Un Jury and just order some more Nectar. My only problem is there's too many flavors to pick from. I can't decide which ones to order. So far I've had Cappucino and Pink Grapefruit and I loved both of them. I'm on my 10 day liquid diet right now.

At mine they asked me questions such as how long I had been over weight, what diets I had tried, if I exercised, what medical problems I had. Then they went over the pre op diet and the post op diet and eating changes. Mine was simple:) It took 40 minutes and cost $125! I really thought it was overpriced.

I can use fat free milk but it's suggested to make the shakes with Water and have a few servings of milk in between as a snack. I just had a Syntrax Cappucino shake and I must say it was actually good:) I ordered a Syntrax sampler pack. I can't wait to try the other flavors now.

I agree with you! I personally have 2 friends who are already banded and they are trying to tell me what to do and what to eat yet they eat ice cream, chips and cokes all day. All things my doc says no to.
