    Failed

Please help! I was banded Dec 24th 2009, and I did great the first 2mo, and have kept it all off however now that its over 6mo ago, the 20lbs I have lost seems petty! I have had some big things go on in my life since March, and seems to be carrying on (my father was diagnosed with MS). Every time I seem to be getting on track something seems to happen with him, and then I just give up again. Also I don't feel that I feel full, or if I'm ignoring the feeling. Twice in the past week I pick up the phone to call my surgeons office to make an appt, but then get worried as to what he will think and say, but if the band has slipped or a fill would be good I would like to get that taken care of. I was so excited going into this and told a bunch of people that now I'm embarrassed to see because I have only lost 20lbs, I feel like I'm a lost cause now. Please help me, I guess I'm really looking for some encouragement and whether to see my Dr or not.

    December Delights 2009

Need a pick me up ASAP! I was banded on 12-23, and by my first fill on 02-01 I was doing real good (in the doctors eyes) by losing 12.5lbs (9%), they were happy because they said that was about what bypass patients lose in that amount of time. I was a little disappointed because i thought i lost more (from my scale at home). Only 3cc were put in, and absolutely no restriction, my sec fill is on 03-01. I know I have not lost any since and scared I may have even gained a lb or two back! I feel like canceling the appt to a later date to avoid humiliation however I would have to wait til beginning of April, and I know I need more fill to help with being less hungry! I have had some stressful situations in the past few weeks at home, though I know its no excuse. I have also been working out at least 3-5 times a week (usually 5) for an hour each time. I also think that some of my frustration has come because I have seen other get banded right around the time I was and have lost 20+ by my first fill (02-01). Please help, I'm starting to get really down on myself and I dont want to give up, any helpful tips out there?

    December Delights 2009

Please help, I had my post-op on Tues and I only lost 7lbs!!!!! Why??? I have been walking at least 30-45mins/day, I have been eating 3small meals plus 3snacks a day, and not going over my fats/day and trying to get all protein in a day, as well as watching the sugar in what I eat. I don't understand whats going on, I don't get my fill til Feb 1st, and worried that I'm either gonna stay at this 7lbs lost or gain it back, I'm getting real discouraged. I did this surgery because it was suppose to help lose faster then on my own, and now I'm regretting it.

    December Bandsters 2009

So, the weight lose is going good, and not that I'm thinking for the next two months, but I'm curious about the fact its said no drinking for six months. I'm curious what the reason behind it is, or is it just because of the empty calories &/or sugar depending on what you drink. Any info pls thanks

    December Delights 2009

Hi, I just joined this website yesterday, and I had my surgery on Dec 23rd, 09. I am seeing weight loss on my scale, however don't know that I should be doing that because I have/had a feeling that once I switch off of the liquids it will show an increase! Any early banders onto solid yet and depending on how long any sight in this?
